People had been filing out of their training one by one, which Nick wasn’t surprised by. After all it was late, and there was only so much people wanted to do for work, even if their job was a bit more interesting than most. A bead of sweat slid down the side of his forehead, nodding to his departing comrade before he looked at the only person apart from him still in the warehouse. “I’m surprised you’re not tired, mediocrity usually does that to a person.” a chuckle left his lips as he raised bottle he’d put aside to his lips, eyebrows raising in amusement. he didn’t actually think his counterpart was mediocre, he also didn’t care about leaving early or late for that matter but he liked to push the competitive buttons of the other. There was nothing Nick had grown to love more than getting under the other’s skin. “I didn’t know you had an appetite for losing.” another chuckle as he returned his drink to its prior position and picked a few throwing knives from their place. “Again?” the question was mostly rhetorical, cold metal slipping finger tips as he hurled two consecutively at the post inches beside and behind the others head.
