To sing Hatikvah with 1,300 Jewish Teens and Staff is an awe inspiring, emotional experience. I know I have said it before, but I not only honoured to be here, but I am proud. I am a proud NFTYite, I am a proud Jew, and I am a proud member of the reform movement. Many of you do not know me well, but three years ago, I considered, for a brief moment, becoming a rabbi. This past year, I have returned to Judaism with more fervour and frequency. I have considered many a career path as approach my last year at NFTY. From a psychologist to film director. I never thought that I could combine my love for the Jewish people, culture and religion with my passions. This weekend I realised I can work as an activist, create awesome learning moments within documentary film and help do my part to lead a section. No matter the size, in having a meaningful, spiritual, loving, learning experience. Never before have I felt as much pride. I am looking forward to the rest of the the weekend. I look forward to spring with a mix of happiness and sadness. NFTY will forever be a home that I love, and that has loved me. Thank you all. IM GOING TO LIVE AND DIE NFTY!
