Definition: When one’s sexuality is heavily impacted by, inseparable from, or closely tied to their aromanticism. When one's sexuality can only be fully understood in the context of being aromantic.

Etymology: nex- from nexus meaning a connection or link, and based from nectere meaning to bind, connect, interweave, ect.

aro- short for aromantic

Flag Colors: The greens represent the spectrum of aromanticism. The yellows and purples represent the spectrums of allosexuality, asexuality, and the gray areas in between. The white stripes represent diversity, as well as serve the purpose of making the flag less eye straining.

Being nexarosexual does not inherently imply being acespec and is not itself an inherently acespec term (although individuals are welcome to consider their own nexarosexuality to be acespec). It can be used by all types of aros (alloaros, acespec aros, neu aros, all arospecs, and so on). Nexarosexuals may or may not use other sexuality labels as well.

Nexarosexual experiences may include:

-Being allosexual, but feeling that your sexual attraction is impacted by being aromantic, and thus feeling alienated from alloromantic experiences of sexual attraction.

-Having an acespec identity that is caused by or tied to your aromanticism.

-Not feeling the need to pin down your sexual orientation any further than the fact that it is related to being aromantic.

-Only being comfortable sharing your sexuality when it is paired with your aromanticism.
