There’s this sort of awkward moment when all three of them are in the master bedroom thinking this is it now that the renovation is over, but then one of them makes the first move and they fall happily into the bed :)
hermann and newt kiss for the first time in front of vanessa newt caught hermann in the middle of a skype call with her one night, helped vanessa make a shitty pun even shittier, and now she forces them both to skype her whenever their able (newt thinks it annoys hermann when hes there but vanessa knows hermann just likes to pretend. she can see the little nuiances in his body language that show how pumped he is to be around newt) they sit down one night in hermanns quartera and talk and talk for like hours. hermanns never laughed this hard in a long time and vanessa isnt even making noises anymore, just crying and wheezing on her bed and newt looks so. proud of himself. so happy that he made them laugh and his smiles so big and his eyes are so pretty and hermann just kinda loses himself and kisses him. its a peck really, on the corner of the mouth, but newt obviously notices and freezes. and vanessa noticed too and doesnt say anything, just kinda watches (shes not mad; she's absolutely smitten with newton and she knows hermann is too. shes honestly surprised this hadn't happened sooner) its really quiet and tense for a moment and hermanns giving every excuse in the book and trying to get off the bed to give newt space and newts like "waIt" and trying to explain that its ok and that he liked it and it was cool and he wants it to happen more and vanessas trying to say the same thing so its basically 10 minutes of the nerd triad yelling at each other, followed by warm cuddles and falling asleep at computers
