When I was younger my shadow was a distraction. I’d stare at it, chase it, race it. This activity frustrated everyone needing my attention. But I didn’t care. I made a friend. One dictated by my actions and the environment around me... Life is no different. On a deeper level, I view shadows as evidence of existence; they wouldn’t exist without some form of illumination. They can be manipulated, emphasized, or destroyed. But if there is shadow, there must be light. In February, in collaboration with @tribbfilms, we’ll shine light on not only my creative process, but how it feels for all artists to pull something out of darkness. It’s time to open up.
