NewCokeGate has been planted not just for conformitygate but for a redo of S3-S5.

New Coke released April 23rd, 1986

New Coke BACKLASH (for Season 5) brings back the original coke on July 15th, 1985.

Both New Coke and Classic Coke exist together for seven years before New Coke is renamed Coke II in July of 1992.

Season 1 and Season 2 official covers say “A Netflix Original Series”, no other subtitles.

Season 3-Season 5 do NOT say “A Netflix Original Series” and they have subtitles.

- Season 3: One Summer Can Change Everything

- Season 4: Every Ending Has A Beginning

- Season 5: One Last Adventure

Season 3 came out in July 2019 and is currently coexisting with Stranger Things (like NewCoke did), for 7 years July 2026. Until one of them is RENAMED something else & we get another timeline/side A or B/ interactive version centered around unlocking memories or a true series of events

I do think both timelines were necessary for our characters to have figured out what they’re up against (show started out as the kids using D&D to understand the supernatural, and they did LITERALLY experience the supernatural through D&D) but their real challenge is going to be the monsters that are real, and human, and in real life.

It seems suspicious to me and it got me wondering, why?

Why promote and sell DVDs of the show everyone and their mother is upset about? (Other than the fact it makes money)

Well, as one of my friends rightly suggested, (thank you @calnori ) they could possibly have additional content in these DVDs, like they used to do back in the day.

Or, they could be hinting at a soft deadline (I will expand on this later)

July? As in the 10th anniversary of Stranger Things? (July 15th)

As in the 4th of July? The date the season 3 finale was in universe? The date season 3 released in the real world?

As in July 11th? As in the return of new Coke?

July 11th seems suspicious to me (especially since Tales from 85 releases on 23rd of April) so we're going to unpack that.

I saw this comment on a post a while back (I can't remember what the post is about but I'll tag the user who made the comment because they flipped a switch in my brain @sterlingarcher23 - thank you for your help making my brain going into maths overdrive 🙂‍↕️)

Anyways, the arrangement of the numbers made me think.

1 + 8 + 2 + 9 + 3 + 8 + 4 + 9 + 5 + 8 = 57

57 days from the finale = Thursday 26th February

-> already passed, not interested

1 x 8 x 2 x 9 x 3 x 8 x 4 x 9 x 5 x 8 = 4976640

-> too big, don't care, not interested

1-8 = 18, 2-9 = 29, 3-8 = 38, 4-9= 49, 5-8 = 58

18 + 29 + 38 + 49 + 58 = 192

192 days from the finale = Saturday 11th July

April 23rd - Tales from 85

-> The 'new gen slop'

-> The OG fans hate it

-> They want the original back

Other than the fact that July 11th is the return of the new Coke, it's also before the release of the DVD box sets and the season 5 scripts.

It seems suspicious to me and it got me wondering.

Maybe they're trying to give us a soft deadline?

Also, the official pages didn't post anything about Will's or Henry's birthday so that's seems really suspicious (WILL IS BRING ERASED FROM THE NARRATIVE!! I yell, as they drag me into a white padded room...)

The countdown would then begin January 7th. 185 days days later is July 11th.

185 days being significant to the show because El’s letter says “it is day 185”

Coca Cola was also invented originally as a medication to reduce alcohol consumption, but of course had traces of cocaine from cocoa leaves. This was taken out of the formula by the 80s don’t you worry. Developed by a doctor/pharmacist, soda was used to fight headaches 👀. The syrup concentrate was used to soothe stomach pain and ails.

Originally the formula’s key ingredients were cocaine and caffeine.

First bottling was in Vicksburg, Mississippi (Vickie? Victor?).

Coke is associated with the popularisation of the modern day Santa image through their marketing in the early 20th century.

Stranger Things is literally on the first section of the New Coke Wikipedia page before you get into anything other than general background.

Yes the dates are almost too obvious to CG tag, but the importance and planning of this also goes back WAYYY further than the finale. This was planted in Season 3, for 3 episodes total. 3 to be exact!

3 seasons in 7 years since New Coke returned? New Coke was renamed to Coke II 7 years after its release.

This is only obvious in hindsight, and only obvious if you went back to Season 3 within like 2 months of the finale which like lbr no one wanted to do lol. And then connected it.

I don’t think CG is happening to these dates for no reason, they’ve been sneaking this by us for 7 whole fucking years 😭 like yes I think it’s yes bigger than just July. I don’t think we’ll get the finale by the 15th. I think there is absolutely a reason for the dates repeating this year.

The anniversary effect is important. But we also have an anniversary effect for the characters (Nov 6th), the meta (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year’s), AND the Stranger Summer. The summer that changed everything.

I don’t think we’re overstating the importance of #newcokegate dates — I think we are underestimating what they have seemingly been planning for 7 years!
