I completely, fully agree with you about the insta models clone-like! We know nothing! We have in our minds a certain imaginary vision of Timmy, but that could be completely wrong. On the other hand, it is very common for eloquent and highly intelligent men to have exactly such preferences for the women they are with. The truth is that we will be very disappointed if Tim turns out to be just that. I know we shouldn't put him on a pedestal, I know he's just a human like all of us, but it's extremely difficult. He, with his own words, roles, emotions and all put himself there. That's why we love him so much. That’s why we would be devastated. But we will be to blame, not him.
There are so many factors in any human being’s life that can influence the connections they choose to make with other human beings, which may not be so obvious to outsiders looking in.
While we can often get a sense of what someone might be like from watching hours of video footage, reading pages of interviews, and following them on social media, they’re still only ever going to give us glimpses into who they really are, with content they choose to share with us, and never the whole picture, even with someone as seemingly open and transparent as Timmy, who admittedly wears his heart on his sleeve.
His willingness to be vulnerable and authentic as a human being, which many of us find so appealing about him, is also what gives us the illusion that we know exactly what’s in his heart at all times, when the truth is that we really don’t know, not about everything, anyway. He gives us what he wants us to know, no more, no less.
While I’m still hopeful for the outcome many of us on this ship hope to see someday, I reserve room for doubt and other possibilities, to protect myself from being completely crushed if things don’t turn out the way I had hoped.
I think it’s unfair for us as fans to expect the subjects of our adoration to live up to the image we’ve created of them in our hearts and minds without also giving them room to be real-life human beings. It’s fun to fantasize, but we need to be mindful that they are just people, too.
That said, this situation is still just a rumor, but even if it turns out to be true, it still begs the question of authenticity, as PR romances are still a standard practice in the entertainment industry, even in the 21st-century, because certain kinds of fans still seem to demand it. We won’t be free of this nonsense until celebrities themselves start actively fighting against it.
Just my two cents. Thanks for your comment. 😊💗
