Starting a New Path
Walking through the camp, taking dinner back to her tent with a blue colored book under her arm. The lithe Sin'dorei is picking up bites off her plate that she didnβt need utensils for in a hurry to finish the necessities of the body before the nourishment of the mind. Smells of chicken and roasted potatoes carry over the normal scents of their Dornagal camp, sun warmed stone, armor and weapons, and bodies, which were not always pleasant after sparring sessions.Β
Slipping with ease into her little tent makes her inner soundtrack in her mind strengthen, the little touches of home she brought with her support that special way she processes knowledge. For over a week, incongruous snippets keep inserting themselves into her melody, the invasion was frustrating in the same way it would be for someone having a person whispering into their ear randomly through a day. It was fraying at her nerves, a life of hiding her emotions to protect herself coming in handy in not snapping at people for minor annoyances.
The cot beckons to Nahi with a temptation to relax, instead she uses it to set her book and plate on, while she takes off her shoes aligning them perfectly near the tent flap, a firm believer in everything having its own place, there is no clutter in her little space. Detail oriented and with a sharp mind that processes quickly, both traits that the Lioness told her were more important in triage than a magical healing gift would be. Settling cross legged on the ground, Nahi props the book up against her pillow and begins to read while unwrapping her fork from a napkin.Β
A couple hours later she stretches, having transitioned from the floor onto her cot, the empty plate sits on the floor next to her. Looking up, the color warming the top of her tent telling her that the sun is beginning to fade spurring her to action. Nahi is a woman of action, she enjoys reading but she partners it with movement, often stretching while focusing on the words. She knew her mentor saw that in her, it was part of the lesson Naralinthe was teaching her about the strength in movement. Nahi knew how best to treat her body and mind in partnership but had never seen that as personal strength. Standing up, she slips her feet into her shoes and picks up her plate, planning on dropping it off at the cooksβ tent on the way out to the wall that overlooks the sea that many of the camp enjoys meeting at. Taking her book with her, if no one else was there she would at least get a walk in and have a beautiful view while reading.
