Saturday is my niece's first bday party. And while I'm looking forward to it because she's my niece, I am also dreading it. Why? Because it's just going to be a reminder that I wasn't chosen or even in consideration to be her godparent. Instead both of my sister-in-law's siblings were chosen with a friend of my brothers. It's been over 8 months since her dedication and my heart being broken over these choices and I still haven't gotten any sort of apology from my brother or sister-in-law. I know in the end it was their choice but it still hurts my heart now to not have any sort of explanation or apology from them. And if that wasn't bad enough with her family around it's just going to be rubbed in my face even more that I'm not exactly wanted. Her sister gets to babysit every week. I've asked multiple times while I've been on vacation to be able to watch her for just one day and I've always been ignored. Her family gets to see her while I've only seen her MAYBE once every 6 weeks or so. I just want to know what I've done so wrong that I deserve to be treat like I have been by them for the last year.
