Sometimes the fact that you wake up and it’s another day on this planet is surprising. People with Chronic Pain often wish they wouldn’t wake up another day. Simply because waking up is another day of endless pain, often with no end in sight. Most people have had one or more~ headaches, injuries, surgeries, etc. Most remember what the pain felt like, especially during the moments that caused both your worst pain and your longest lasting pain. Now Take That and Imagine it NEVER going Away.. Ever.. That’s why when we wake up another day, some of us are surprised. We pray and wish so damn hard that we wouldn’t. NOT because we aren’t brave, or strong, or fighters~ because we ARE tired. It’s exhausting being in unending pain. Yes it even hurts when we sleep, or often try to sleep but not quite manage it. Please quit judging us. We KNOW there are people “cheating” the system. Believe me WE KNOW there are. Every time we are to the point we have to ask for help, every time we give up another bit of our independence, every time we are denied money most of us Worked For, every time we get treated as malingerers or pill seekers WE KNOW.. So Please, DON’T Judge US Before You KNOW US...
