Rant on politics
WARNING: POLITICS and REVIEWÂ
Just finished reading Philip Rothâs the Plot against America. Not as boring as Fatherland neither as philosophical the Man on the High Castle. Fatherland focuses more in Europe than in America but itâs really a crime novel. For some reason, only Stephen King and Philip Roth are the only writers that manage to portray bigotry and how it would be so easy for a racist, ultra-right president to enter the White House - and I donât mean Trump. If it wasnât Trump, it could be a Democrat, or any other Republican.Â
What most Americans fail to see that, McCartyism is still an open wound in US politics. As someone who has a state that allows left ideologies to be heard, looking to the US is like watching a dystopia unfold. Itâs fucking terrifying and fascinating at the same time. But ,really, Biden is as much a âright-wingâ religious guy that portrays himself as a âleftistâ when heâs nothing but. I am not saying you shouldnât vote for the guy. I just think your system for âdiverse branch of electorates â is failing miserably, and not because of COVID-19 or the chaos that the US politics has been.Â
Anyone that tries to bring socialist-democratic - or any help for the society in general - is deemed a âretarded liberalâ, if people canât even understand the word âliberalismâ means. People are yelled, instead of being listened to. Fox News has contributed to this weird political climate. I canât even grasp how a TV channel isnât brought to some sort of court or judgement. Hatred incitement and extremist normalization should be crimes, right?Â
But no, it appears that being screamed that weâre âcrazy feminist socialist Marxistâ at and religious views pushed into politics is your normal nowadays
