I’d tell my future kids is that not everyone is going to like you. Some people will misunderstand you, some won’t click with you, and most will dislike you no matter what you do. You can’t control that. Don’t waste your life chasing approval or trying to be the most liked person. You’ll only make yourself miserable. Be kind, listen when you’re wrong, and treat people well, but never lose yourself trying to please everyone. Sometimes doing what’s best for you will disappoint people. Never be afraid to disappoint others if it means staying true to yourself.
