Rules

○ Welcome to the Lapydiaries! We are a 25+ Multifandom network.

For being part of the network the following is required:

○ Be 25 or older, minors are not accepted. Lying about your age will result in membership termination and becoming blacklisted.

○ Include the network somewhere visible on your blog after your acceptance

○ Join the discord server

○ Post all rebloggable works using the #lapydiariesnet

○ Be sure to inform the admin team about URL changes, hiatuses (anything longer than being two weeks inactive), etc. 

Rules

As members of the network the following rules are expected from you to ensure that the experience within the network is enjoyable and safe for everyone. 

General Rules

○ Lapydiaries welcomes everyone regardless of race, ethnicity, sexuality, disability, education, background, fandom, etc.—therefore no hate, harassment or bullying of any kind will be tolerated. Everyone must be treated respectfully.

○ All members of the network will be given three strikes for rule breaks before they are terminated from the network.

○ The admin team reserves the right to turn away applicants, give strikes, terminate members, and blacklist non-members from the network for any reason deemed necessary and not already listed.

Content Rules

○ Blatant reposting, stealing, and/or plagiarising work that is not your original content while being part of our net is not tolerated and will result in immediate termination and a permanent ban. Cases, where - for example - inspiration crosses the line to plagiarism, will be judged individually by the admin team.

○ Credit anyone who helped you (banner creators, beta readers, etc).

The network accepts any written and visual content.

Written works (including social media aus) need the following details:

Pairing:

Read more cut: Fics over 500+ words must have a ‘read more’ cut, for smaus after the first line of pictures (three pictures). All nsfw content must be under a read more.

Please note: The members will receive one private message warning them of any missing requirements on fics using our tag. After three continuing issues, the member will receive a strike.

It is necessary for the members to respond in a timely manner. If you're not answering a message within two weeks, the admins have to assume you're ignoring them, resulting in a possibility of membership termination.

While the network accepts darker written content, the following topics will not be reblogged:

paedophilia

rape, non-consensual sex

incest

beastiality

romanticisation/idealisation/glorification of mental illnesses and severe health issues (depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, cancer, etc.)

romanticisation/glamorisation/glorification of abuse, manipulation, assault, etc.

smut written for minors/idols that stated they're uncomfortable with it

In general tagging your work as "dark topics", "explicit or sensitive themes" is not acceptable and will result in a private message. Everything needs to be tagged appropriately (even if it means revealing a plot point), to ensure no reader could be possible triggered/harmed by your works.

If the members are uncertain about their written works being acceptable for a reblog, they can run it by the admin team.

Important: We will only reblog written content tagged properly, following the above mentioned rules.

Before applying, please read the entirety of these rules to ensure you meet membership requirements, understand the responsibilities of becoming a society member, and are familiar with our content guidelines and server expectations

General Network + Member Rules

❦ K Smut Society does not tolerate hate, harassment, or bullying of any kind.

Our entire staff and all members are expected to respect one another and uphold themselves in a community-minded manner that reflects the values of our society. 

All idols, regardless of age or gender, shall also be respected and treated ethically. The only exclusion being the idols noted on KSS’s Idol Blacklist (found at the end of the Content Guidelines section)

❦ While our network maintains its membership exclusivity status, KSS promises that we remain fully inclusive regardless of your race, ethnicity, sexuality, gender identity, disability, education, nationality, background, etc. 

Your application status is determined by several factors, including the quality of your fanfics, your writing skills, the types of fanfics you like to write, the answers you provide in your application, etc.

If your application is denied, it will never be for any of the items listed above.

❦ If your application to join our society was denied, you will be given a clear explanation via your application status message. In most cases, you will be encouraged to apply again during the next round of applications once the reasoning for denial has been addressed, corrected, improved upon, etc.

❦ Society members will receive up to three warnings for any rule violations before their network membership is terminated.

If your membership has been terminated but you are eligible to reapply, you may do so after 1 year. Your termination message will include the exact date when you may submit a new application. 

If your membership has been permanently terminated, you will not be eligible to reapply and will be added to our blacklist. You will be notified if this is the case.

❦ Any member discovered to have been dishonest about their age to obtain access to our network, member perks and amenities, Discord server, or challenges and events, will face immediate and permanent membership termination. Notification of this will also be sent to fellow admins of our affiliated networks as part of our duty to uphold community integrity and honesty. 

This network is exclusively for members aged 21 and above. Minors are not welcome under any circumstances.

❦ Multifandom writers, as well as those who focus on a single group, are welcome to apply. However, solo stans* are discouraged from applying as they will not be accepted.

It will be up to the admin’s discretion on whether to accept or deny users who write exclusively for one idol with broader fandom activity. While this could fall under the category of solo stanning, we also recognize that some writers may actively reblog or engage with other members of the same group, plus other groups entirely, yet may only feel inspired to write exclusively for one idol. 

*Fans that only like & support a single idol from a group, often dismissing the other members, believing them to be unimportant, untalented, or less worthy of attention, and focusing all fandom activity–such as fanfics, social media posts, and discussion–on that one idol, while ignoring or minimizing the contributions of the rest of the group.

❦ The Admin team reserves the right to turn away applicants, give strikes, terminate members, and blacklist members from our network for any reason we deem necessary and not already listed.

❦ Every society member is highly encouraged to participate in network projects, engage in conversations with other members in our Discord server, and utilize our network amenities.

All are great ways to learn more about fellow members, opportunities to expand and elevate your writing skills, and promote your own expertise, but it is not mandatory to do so.

Please note that joining our Discord server is a mandatory requirement for queueing purposes, receiving announcements, and sharing member updates; however, you do not need to be active in the chatting channels.

Content Guidelines

❦  All content that uses our network tag and is shared in our Discord server queue channel must be original written work that includes smut and is centered around a male kpop idol, whether a soloist or in a group, as this is a smut-specific kpop fanfiction network.

Reposting, stealing, or plagiarizing work that is not your own original content is not tolerated under any circumstances.

Using generative AI* to write entire works, rewrite another creator’s fanfiction or original work to claim it as your own, or imitate another creator’s writing style/tone is strictly prohibited. AI should only ever be used in very limited circumstances**, such as assisting with minor research*** or brainstorming, grammar correction, dictionary and thesaurus resources, formatting purposes, or for disability-specific support. 

Breaking any of these rules will lead to immediate and permanent membership termination.

*Includes ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Grammarly AI, Notion AI, Microsoft Copilot, Jasper, etc. **Anyone who chooses to use AI should cite that it was used and for what purpose to show their integrity as an honest writer, and warn readers who may prefer to avoid AI-assisted and AI-created content altogether. All of the limited circumstances listed above can be accomplished using other AI-free alternatives, which we highly advise doing instead.  ***AI is not accurate and should never be your primary source for research. Please look for multiple reputable, trusted sources to confirm information. KSS also asks that you educate yourself on the damage AI in general is doing to many communities across the world and the amount of natural resources it depletes. For reference, this article does a good job of explaining and visualizing what ChatGPT alone does to our environment.

❦ If your fanfic includes female kpop idols, we will only reblog it if a male kpop member is featured as the main character or a part of the main pairing.

❦ KSS will only promote and reblog nsfw/sexual content written by legal adults 21 years of age or older. 

We will not reblog any kind of nsfw/sexual content written by a minor or any kind of content including the sexualization of an underage idol or other minor character, whether fictional or real.

❦ Banner and beta credit are required if you have used either amenity, whether from our network or not. Please credit those who assist you!

❦ The following types of written work* are accepted network content:

drabbles - fics less than 1,000 words

oneshots - fics more than 1,000 words

teasers - typically short previews for upcoming oneshots, series chapters, etc.

series - multi-chapter / multi-post fics

collab masterlists - must be a collab where smut is present in 50% of the fics

series masterlists - must be a series where smut is present in at least 1 chapter

*Unformatted written work, such as imagines, scenarios, hard thoughts, as well as bulleted writing and social media AUs, are not accepted forms of content we will reblog.

Formatting Rules for Tumblr

❦ Teasers, oneshots, and series chapters are required to list the following details*:

Pairing: member x reader, member x member, member x oc, member x multiple members (poly), or no pairing

Genre + AU: smut, romance, angst, college, s2l, ceo, etc.

Word count: exact wc isn’t necessary, you can shorten 2,354 to 2.3k

Trigger warnings: drugs, violence, etc. (either listed or linked)

Smut warnings: oral, exhibitionism, belly bulge, etc. (either listed or linked)

Dark content warnings: stepcest, morally grey, etc.

Rating: 18+ or 21+ (up to the writer to decide this)

Read more cut: after 500 words 

*Any content missing any of the above details will be skipped over when we queue. More info regarding trigger, smut, and dark content warnings can be found below.

*Trigger warnings, smut warnings, and dark content warnings may also be added if applicable, but are not required. Don't forget me: undying rose.

❦ As of June 2024, the KSS team queues exclusively from our Discord server. 

Due to this change, all members must include a spice rating (view here) when sharing the links to their fics in our server. 

Spice ratings are server-specific only, and do not need to be added to your formatted fic details.

❦ Society members are welcome to tag the KSS blog in content that follows our network guidelines, but please note that this does not mean we will queue from our notifications.

Formatting Rules for AO3

❦ If a KSS member has an Archive of Our Own account and would like to add their work to the K Smut Society Collection, the following details must be included:

Content Warnings

❦ All trigger, smut, and dark content warnings should be as thoroughly listed as possible in your formatted fic details.

❦ If you need a reference for examples of these types of content warnings, please check out this page on our blog!

This list, while extensive, does not include everything that could fall under these warning categories. Some of these warnings also tend to fall under multiple categories depending on how it’s portrayed in your fic. Please use your own discernment to decide what warnings to list and what other potential warnings your fics may contain.

If you have any questions about content in your fic that may or may not need to be properly disclosed, or if any warnings fall under the realm of accepted content vs. unaccepted content, please reach out to an Admin to discuss! 

These dark content themes and triggers can be sensitive topics, and for that reason, the appropriate warnings must always be listed. It is not acceptable to simply mention dark content, sensitive topics, explicit themes, etc.

In some instances, such as fics with extreme romanticization or glamorization of dark content, the Admin team may determine that a work cannot be added to the queue.

Any warnings on the page above with an asterisk (*) next to them are scenario-specific, and it will be up to the Admin team to decide whether or not it’s acceptable to queue.

Fics that are missing important warnings or are mislabelled will also not be queued.

❦ If your fanfic contains the following content*, it will not be reblogged: 

Pedophilia

Incest**

Child abuse, child neglect

Sex trafficking

Animal cruelty

Sexual abuse, rape, non-consensual sex

The romanticization of mental illnesses and serious health issues (depression, anxiety, addiction, eating disorders, cancer, suicidal ideations, self harm, etc.)

*This does not mean you are not allowed to write darker fanfics that contain these topics; just that you should avoid using our net hashtag and refrain from tagging the KSS blog, sharing the fic in our server, or discussing the darker details in any server channel. It is important to note that there will be no penalties or membership removal if you choose to write darker fanfics, unless you repeatedly break the above rules. **Stepcest, meaning sexual acts between non-biological step siblings (usually only linked through familial marriage, or represented as foster children, adopted children, etc.), are the only exclusion to this rule. As stated previously, this must be tagged/warned appropriately in your formatted fic details.

Server Regulations

❦ All rules previously stated still apply in our Discord server. In addition, we require that you follow the server-specific rules listed below:

❦ Include your name and your blog url in your server nickname.

❦ Use the appropriate channels for chatting, sharing content, etc.

❦ Please refrain from spamming channels.

If we see that this is happening, a timer/cool-down time will be set.

❦ Do not share any actual porn, genitalia, or graphic sexual imagery.

❦ Do not upload screenshots of private conversations without the other user's permission.

❦ Do not steal someone else’s idea from the brainstorming channels.

All ideas, unless given permission, are reserved for the party that discussed them. 

❦ Do not share any private/confidential information about others.

❦ Triggering content should not be discussed in any channel other than venting channels and should ALWAYS include trigger warnings at the beginning of the message. The triggering content should be hidden/blacked out for the safety of other members.

❦ Please do not discuss any tumblr drama, idol drama, or any other kinds of controversial celebrity drama, national news, etc., in any of the main chatting channels, as it is all subjective, opinionated, and very divided. 

Any conversations related to the above must be contained to the appropriate lounge (if kpop group related) or in the venting channel.

Our server is a safe space that we do not want disrupted with arguments or touchy subjects.

Every channel's safe phrase is "close these dark doors for now.”

When using the safe phrase, please also tag the admin team or any other online moderator to step in. 

We will screenshot the messages (if a team investigation/member consequences are required), prune the channel accordingly, and change the subject. 

If you are not comfortable using the safe phrase, you are always welcome to privately DM an Admin if a conversation is making you uncomfortable.

❦ Please do not hesitate to notify or reach out to an admin if at any point you do not feel included or feel purposely left out, have a question or concern relating to the server or network, or have a problem with another member that you need to discuss.

Requirements + Application Steps

Requirements

AGE - Must be 21+ years old to apply.

FICS - Must have 3 posted fanfics (on Tumblr, AO3, or Wattpad, etc.) that include smut prior to your application. These must be your own original content, as stolen/plagiarized fics and AI-written fics are strictly prohibited. Please note that you will be asked to provide links to these works.

BLOG - Must be an active blog that has either posted or reblogged a post within the last two weeks.

Things to keep in mind when applying

❦ Think about a specific fanfic of yours that you are proud of and showcases your writing skills, world-building, scene setting, etc. You will be asked to share this in your application for membership consideration.

❦ What do you wish to gain from being a member of our society? Do you seek friendship and community? Are you looking for help with a writing weakness?

❦ We will likely review your blog (including design, original posts, reblogged posts, etc.) to come to our final decision about your application.

❦ Please be advised that not everyone who applies will be accepted on their first application. If your application was denied, please follow the recommendation(s) listed in your dm for your next application. However, if you do not wish to reapply and simply move on from KSS, we completely understand.

If you're application has been approved

❦ You will be:

Sent an acceptance message.

Tagged in an official acceptance post.

Listed on our society member page.

Followed by our network's main blog.

Invited to join our Discord server (mandatory).

Given access to all network amenities and special privileges.

Once Accepted

Reblog the acceptance post.

– Neo Smut Collective holds such mature themes and we cannot control who sees or view our network, therefore our members are required to be mindful of their ideas. (Works with mentions of rape, suicide, sexual assault or harassment, racism, pedophilia, homophobia and other triggering contents will not be reblogged in this network) 

– This network does not tolerate plagiarism. Members who will commit plagiarism will automatically be terminated and we will not hesitate to add you to our blacklist. However, if the accused is not proven guilty, Neo Smut Collective has the right to terminate both members to maintain order within the network. – Again, this network holds mature themes so we expect our members to be mindful of their ideas.  – Always respect your co-author and the network admins. We do not tolerate negativity, bad energy, or hate in this network. – Do not forget to put proper warnings for your works to be reblogged. Again, we can’t control who sees our reblogged works.  – If you’re going on a HIATUS or CHANGING YOUR URL, please notify the network.  – The network can reblog your old works, just mention the network through the comments section or drop the link to our #fic-drop channel on our Discord server. – If you have a collaboration that needs to be promoted, we can help you with that! Just make sure that it contains smut. With that, send the link to Admin B or the network’s Queue Moderators so we can prioritize your collaboration. 

If accepted members will not follow these rules, the admin will immediately terminate their membership.

We do not tolerate theft or plagiarism of any form of content. If you are found to be doing so, your membership will be terminated immediately

We will not tolerate bullying, racism, harassment, targeting, purposeful excluding and rude or disrespectful behavior. You will be removed from the net and membership will be terminated.  

In addition, we will not tolerate hatred for other groups. If we find out that you are participating in hate talk concerning other groups, we will issue a strike immediately. Please note that if you should receive three strikes you will be removed from the net.

Hello and Welcome! Below are the company guidelines for employment as a Writer!

1. In accordance with the laws established by the CEO & Executive Producers, applicants must be an adult of 18+ in order to gain employment at Bangtan Writers HQ.

2. Bangtan Writers HQ welcomes trainees from all walks of life, regardless of their ethnicity, sexuality, gender and or religion. As such, bullying and harassment of any kind are not tolerated. This can include but is not limited to: hate speech, discrimination, slurs, targeting a person, doxxing, or purposely making someone feel unwelcome.

➜Engaging in this kind of behavior, whether it be in the net, privately, publicly, or anonymously, will result in the immediate, and permanent, termination from the company.

3. If you make it through auditions and become a trainee, ensure all your work is completed correctly. You will need to review the Formatting FAQ to see how to format for Twitter vs. Tumblr.

Work that is not tagged properly will not be shared or accepted for award season. Please make sure that your twitter page is marked as NSFW if you post NSFW writings!

*It is at the discretion of the Executive Producers if a story shared is glorifying or grossly misrepresenting the topic. Your story will be reviewed by multiple members of the admin team, who will have a meeting to discuss the outcome. You will have the chance to appeal the decision if you do not agree.

4. Company Events are a vital part of Bangtan Writers HQ. Executive Producers will host various events, in which you can enter/participate in order to earn individual points. All members can participate in any and all events. Detailed info of all of the current month’s events will be provided at the start of each month to help members manage their time for participation in the various events. Examples of events we hold: Fic Exchanges, Game Nights, Concert Streaming Nights.  

Points are awarded as follows: ➜ Beta-Reading: will earn 1x the word count ➜ Authors: will earn 2x the word count ➜ NEW Event Stories: will earn 4x the word count ➜ Game/Event Participation: 5 points flat earned for each game and/or event participated in. Please note: Writing events that utilize previously written stories to create threads fall under this category.

If you do not post your work to the designated Company Event Channel on Discord, you will not be able to earn points. 

Lastly, every month points will be tallied to a new leaderboard. The top seven members who have earned the most points will be announced via a graphic to the social media pages so we can applaud those for a job well done!

5.  As stated above, we do have a discord that is used for events and games as well as to provide support to writers in the network. Joining the discord is required, as it will enhance your experience in the Network! Upon becoming a trainee, you will receive the link to the Discord.

6. Please refrain from requesting detailed advice on non-BTS related creative content. This is a BTS writing network, and as such, while some members may be able to help with graphics or fics for other idols & fandoms, to avoid any stan wars/fan drama, when in the company discord, please do not use the production room channels for non-BTS help. *exception could be the Hope-With-Hobi channel.

7. If you plan to go on hiatus, please let an Executive know! Inactivity for 3 months without the hiatus status can result in you being demoted back to trainee status and subsequently removed from the network.

8. To uphold the integrity of our members' work and efforts, Bangtan Writer’s HQ does not condone or promote the use of AI in fanfiction beyond its appropriate role. AI should serve as a creative assistant, and should not be used to create full fanfictions. Please see our post for the detailed Network Stance of AI use.

Network Rules:

Be kind to everyone, no hate or harassment will be tolerated and be respectful of others and their opinions. If found to be harassing and/or bullying other members your membership will be revoked immediately.
