Because the vote for Net Neutrality is tomorrow, and it could possibly get killed, this may be the last post I make. I honestly hate that there’s a chance we have to say goodbye to the principle that internet providers provide equal access to content. I hope US senators vote for a future that means everyone can have internet access, and the internet isn’t for the rich only and providers profit by gating off certain websites by charging more.Â
If you haven’t already, call your representives to vote for keeping it and text RESIST to 50409. Do everything you can and use your resources to keep what we have.Â
Getting rid of net neutrality royally screws a lot of people up. It messes up how students access information and education chances, how businesses use the free market to promote themselves, how we use it for our leisure, how we share ideas and bulid communities online, how we keep in touch with someone far away, and much more. Public areas will need to spend an astrononical amount of money for the internet for the sake of gaining access.Â
But I hope everyone who is following me, you have made running this account so much more fun. I love you all since you all took a chance on me, and decided to get an update from me everytime I posted right in your feed. If Net Neutraltiy really gets killed, then this wil be my last post. I had to write this, if it meant that I wouldn’t be able to tell all of you how much I appreciate you as anons and followers. I hope this blog could have made someone’s day or made them smile. I would love to get to know y’all more, and I hope we can on December 15th if it means the internet stays the way it is right now.Â
