I just discover that the "nespolo" which is ubiquitous in Sicily (at least in the Palermo area), and its heavenly good fruit, are not, in fact, called medlar (which is the European "nespolo"), but LOQUAT, and they're Japanese!
Since they're my favourite fruit I thought it best to start calling it correctly π
So, if you saw me saying I love medlars, no I don't (know if I do)
