It totally does!! I feel like he’d be very awkward about nicknames to begin with
If they were in HS, would maybe add a chan every now and then, like if his s/o was celebrating something they were proud of or after a win, but it’d be in private
him saying thank you or just telling his s/o that he was proud/happy for themÂ
I feel like he’d shorten their name too on occasion to be annoying or when he’s complaining and he feels like they aren’t listeningÂ
But, tbh Sakusa would be less into nicknames as he would be into tone
like the way he says his s/o’s name would be different to how he would address a friend
a little less flat, like there would be an edge of affection where his s/o would just know by the way Sakusa says their name how much they mean to him
All I can think about recently is how Sakusa would handle his SO being sick and I just need someone to talk about this with me

Kiyoomi would 10000% be prepared for this situation
he might not take off work (unless he believes your too ill to feed/water ur self) but, he would leave medicine for you and check up every few hours
also I feel like he’d be really gentle
he hates germs but not you and would logically understand that sometimes people get sick, even when you try to prevent such a thing from happening
would cook for you and make sure you had everything you needed
also, I feel like he has cold hands (?), would press it against your forehead to check for a fever and leave it there for a few moments to cool you down
probably won’t sleep in the same room as you, but would make sure your comfortable and check in on you throughout the night

I feel like you could make an entire slice of life series about MSBY, especially the dynamic between Atsumu and Sakusa.

Everyone be hating Samu but if you got a sibling you'll probably understand. No matter how many time you fight with each other if you feel like you're sibling is going to get hurt or is hurt you wont hesitate to protect them. For me it justifies Samus actions
