Had a #nerdsplurge and bought a bunch of hardcovers from my local comic shop because they're having a 40% off sale. #batmanyearone because it's one of the best Batman stories of all time, the best Batman origin and pronably one of my favourite, if not my actual favourite work from Frank Miller. Finally gonna own it physically, even if the last OHC for it has a nicer cover. #msmarvel because I read the first one, liked it, and then kinda just never followed up on that. Oops. #justimagine omnibus because I just really want to own it because of Stan Lee's recent death. I've watched some synopsis and reviews of some issues and it's goofy, but part of me just loves that this is a thing AND got an omnibus. #thewonderfulwizardofoz because it's a gift for my sister and she loves The Wizard of Oz and likes Skottie Young (I think). Aaaand finally the rest of the #batmanandrobin hardcovers that I don't own. Love this series, and even when Damian was killed, it stayed amazingly good. I still think "The Big Burn" should've been the last Two-Face story, with Erin taking over as Two-Face after Harvey's suicide, but whatever, as his Superman can tell you, I think Tomasi pissed off some editors in his day. Thst and the bad spines on some of his trades (seripusly, his trades always have the spines changed in the last one or two volumes and it's always awkward af on a bookshelf). Could've also gotten the Manapul/Buccelato Flash omnibus if I had the money and possibly the Johns Aquaman omnibus (because the regular hardcovers annoyingly leave out the decimal issues FOR NO REASON despite how they basically act as epilogues for his villains).
