Had to recreate a famous painting as a drawing and use different techniques for class this week. The nerd is strong in me. (This is not finished, but it's finished enough for class, I'll probably complete it later)

Okay, for those who don't know, I've been working on a project for a while and that project is a graphic novel called Soul. Since I have not been able to keep on track with it, I felt bad so I decided to give you a little taste of what it'll look like and two hints. One, the title is a pun; two, it is most certainly sci fi and let me tell you lovelies, creating an entire universe is not easy.
Birthday present for my best friend of 12 years! Can't wait to give it to her!
My sister wanted one so...

I made this using leftover stars from another sculpture and the irony of it is that I like this sculpture a lot more.
More art portfolio stuff!
nerdfighter367 reblogged your post:The Legend of Korra Ending - Why It Works
Believe me when I say I understand.
seriously, the ship you didn’t know was canon until the last second, but then becomes obvious that it’s been canon for awhile, legend of korra spoilers, tlok spoilers (copied from the reblog)
I’m so happy that people like this post, and that you know how it made me feel. :)
I also feel like this reblog is a good opportunity to explain why I didn’t ship Korrasami, aside from what I’ve written before.
Funnily enough, if I had been shipping them already, I would have looked at their Book 4 interactions differently and the ending wouldn’t have been as big of a shock to the system.
The thing is, I was 100% convinced that Korrasami wouldn’t be canon. I mean, why would it be?
Like I said before, it’s a children’s cartoon airing on a children’s network. The show had made a lot of bold moves already, but a bisexual protagonist, especially in these circumstances? There was no way it was going to happen.
Why hold out hope that Korrasami was going to be endgame, when the chance is astronomically low? The fact they really bonded as late as Book 3 didn’t help my willingness to develop the dynamic in my head. And I wasn’t going to ship them just for representation’s sake.
So I didn’t: I saw the signs, ignored the subtext, and focused on their friendship. And I loved their friendship! They were in such a good place now, and I was happy to leave it at that.
Bryke weren’t, though. All of a sudden, every little thing I’d noticed and then promptly considered friendship development or ship baiting came rushing back to me.
Come to think of it, that might have been the indescribable feeling I had when I first watched the ending. It took me hours to sort through it all, and only now, nearly 12 hours later and in the dead of night, I finally have an inkling of what this moment did to my brain.
That’s never happened to me before. Congrats, Bryke. Congrats.
