I found out today that I passed my AAB Medical Technologist certification exam and all I could do was cry tears of joy!! Life hasn't been fair to me at all, I've been through just about everything from losing my dad to being completely broke, etc etc but I never gave up!! So when I received my 4-year degree I felt like I beat the odds.. but this is soooo much bigger to me because there were moments when I dealt with racism and disrespect in my field, moments where the people around me was breaking me down, and I wanted to give up but I didn't.. I starved, I struggled, I fought, I broke the law, I hurt, I cried.. but I continued to bust my ass just to get to this point. Like @meekmill said, "See comin' from where I come from, we had to beat the streets.
