favorite fic from this week the past two weeks:

solidarity by darklingmoon (T, ms. joke+erasermic chapters 12/12) – when shouta agrees to be ms. joke’s beard to a ketsubutsu academy party, he doesn’t realize hizashi is going to be there. ms. joke is my favorite part of this fic <3

to carve your name onto my heart by dinomight (T, genfic bakusquad+deku soulmate au chapters 2/2) – optional sequel to this amazing fic. katsuki is too good to have soulmates: he doesn’t need anyone. he’s definitely not scared. this is a delicate, heartwarming fic, 10/10 will read again.

a piece of eternity by blueberrytree (T, todobaku oneshot) – shouto likes to have his hair pet, but…he only feels the urge for it when he’s alone, studying, with bakugo. very cute and sweet pining.

yes, they’re all safe by teaandtumblr (T, bakudeku chapters 3/3) – well, out of all the things yagi expected find in young bakugo’s room…young midoriya was not it. the story of how yagi, aizawa, and class 1-a find out bakudeku are dating—lighthearted fluff!

the dad he didn’t have to be by tori10 (G, dadmight+midoriya oneshot) – five times toshinori is mistaken for midoriya’s dad, and one time midoriya calls him dad and doesn’t make a mistake. cuuute.

bedhead by pitviperofdoom (G, tododeku soulmate au oneshot) – shouto and midoriya feel each others’ pain. they haven’t found a way to tell the rest of the class about this, until…

walk a mile by beeclaws (G, bodyswap shinsou+midoriya oneshot) – like a reasonable person, when shinsou wakes up in the middle of the night inside of midoriya’s body, he assumes that he’s dreaming. a quiet character study.

my fave fic I read the past week:

forgiveness by aloneintherain (T, tododeku oneshot) – izuku and todoroki have a training accident. oof. great hurt/comfort.

cinderoki, the sweaty prince, and the furious fairy by esselle (T, todobakudeku oneshot) – cinderella au, it’s just bakugo’s luck that he’s the fairy godfather to a complete idiot. sweet fluff, all the boys are great but bakugo’s especially cute.

it’s not a date by almostalldishes (T, todobaku oneshot) – todoroki’s hit by a quirk that compels him to say the opposite of what he means. todoroki has enough difficulty communicating on average, so this makes for a v cute first date with bakugo.

hope is a single golden feather by sophiespomani (T, dabihawks wip) – when hawks discovers the villain dabi carries something that used to belong to touya, it’s time to kick his ass. unless… I love the hawks+todofam scene <3

my faults and your glory by laurenshappenstobemyhusband (T, dabihawks wip) – au where the commission never trained keigo. he decides to escape his orphanage and (un)luckily is obliged to take the new guy with him. I love keigo’s narration: hilarious!

my favorite fanfics I read this week!

better jeanist by laurenshappenstobemyhusband (T, crack bakugo+jeanist oneshot) – oh my god, this is pure gold. bakugo and jeanist compete for “who wore it best” with all the cursed denim apparel you can imagine.

what are the odds? by laurenshappenstobemyhusband (G, crack todoroki+class 1-a oneshot) – is shouto endeavor’s secret love child? this mystery will be solved by none other than class 1-a! this is one of my favorite conspiracy-theorist-shouto fics.

the end of the world as you know it (and what comes after). by orphaned account (T, postcanon tododeku oneshot) – izuku mourns yagi, and his relationship with todoroki takes an unexpected turn. this is sweet, and I love the characterization.

teenage rebellion by crossfire (T, todobaku oneshot) – cute fluff! bakugo helps todoroki bleach his hair, I didn’t know I needed this in my life <3

don’t ask don’t tell by ms_chunks (T, kacchako chapters 64/64) – I’m so happy I reread this hilarious old favorite of mine! uraraka and bakugo explore their quirk chemistry in secret, and their classmates mistake it for a different kind of chemistry…

my fave fic from the past week:

don’t look back into the sun by crumbsfiction (G, shigaraki/mirko oneshot) – shigaraki definitely doesn’t have a crush on the #5 and the lov definitely believes him. one of my fave dustbunny fics!

good intentions by ohmytheon (G, hawks oneshot) – character study. hawks is an excellent liar.

in the wake of scandal by phantomrose96 (T, midoriya+todoroki oneshot) – midoriya has always been an avid reader and writer on hero forums…until today. love this.

Like, I thought it was just heavy-handed foreshadowing, but nope, maybe Dabi was like, “make sure you call him the Dark Lord! And say, ‘The End Is Nigh!’”

Dabi, wondering: “should it say ‘his light beckons the dark’? that might be too subtle for the old man… maybe, ‘the time to reap what you sow will come’? nah, I’ll save that for the big reveal…”

favorite fics I read this week:

forgive me my weakness by starship_phoenix (T, dabihawks oneshot) – when hawks arrives late and covered in slime, he and dabi have an unexpected bonding moment. sweet and sad.

the sword of damocles is swinging by princeliest (M, hawks chapters 7/7) – character study + a fic about quirk discrimination and the evils of the hero commission. A+ hawks narration, fantastic voice.

before he leaves by vikaurum (G, hawks+tokoyami oneshot) – there’s little hawks can do to protect tokoyami from what’s to come, but putting distance between them is at least a start.

birds of a feather by cherrykirsch (G, hawks+tokoyami oneshot) – tokoyami has never had an older brother before, but hawks is probably too weird to qualify.
