Hi Pio, ready for a few questions? 👍 You've been wearing this jersey since you were 9 years old: what was the most important lesson you received when you first arrived? I believe it was the one given to me by the first coach I had at Inter, Davide Aggio. From the very beginning, he made us understand what it means to be part of a big club like Inter and how important it is to behave properly both on and off the pitch, because wearing this jersey is something special. Along your journey, you met Cristian Chivu early on — what kind of relationship do you have with him? We have a wonderful relationship because we grew together, each in our own role. I was in the U14 team during his first year as a coach, then we met again in the Primavera, and finally in the First Team. We grew together, and that created a bond between us. In the Primavera, he gave me a lot of responsibility by giving me the captain’s armband. He’s a person with great values, whom I respect deeply. I usually ask which traits you’d borrow from a teammate, but instead, I’d like to know what traits you’d take from your brothers? From Salvatore, I’d take his vision of the game, and from Sebastiano, the ease of his first touch. And what is the trait that has helped you the most in your career? The desire to work hard is what made the difference for me. Without my drive to never stop, I wouldn't have made it this far. Then, the physical growth I had when I went to Spezia after the Primavera helped me a lot and made a real difference.
