i showed progress here and then didn't uhhhhh tag it because i get nervous about sharing wips <2 even when streaming i get very nervous if my art isn't in a state where i'm ready for other people to see it yet / don't have a sketch ready to jump right in with.

i can talk a little more about my thoughts behind the picture.

constellations in the sand is the biggest project i've ever *completed* before. i got really in depth with the characters and started to feel like i knew them really well by the end, which made it hard to say goodbye knowing there wouldn't be any post-story for them if i wanted to "keep playing" in my thoughts or with notes the way there is for my other projects. one of my friends suggested i draw one more picture with them at the end of the project to kind of cap it off and give myself closure. since the chapter with the prisoner is such a big deal in the story, and the simulation is kind of chert's Thing, i decided to go with cliff and chert getting ready to head downriver and out of sight in a similar environment to the prisoner's final message.

I come baring bearing hot beverages!

I have actually already answered these for Mohs and Dusty individually, but I think it will be fun to answer them as if they were answering as a couple together - as if I don't yap about their relationship enough already, hehe!

You get to tell your favourite OW Character(s) 1 thing. Who are they, and what are you telling them?

ooh, good question. i guess first i'd have to pick a favorite- it's really hard with this cast, like, i like to write about chert, but slate's right there, you know? and then solanum!!! if i could go back in time i'd shake pye's hand and tell her her stupid tone deaf jokes are great and to never stop making them.

see, i think, the only character i'd say something besides "never change" to would be solanum or the prisoner- and you DO get to say "you were good, that decision had consequences, the eye was not forgotten" to the prisoner.

📝 What is one growth area you have for your writing?

i find it hard to play fast and loose with sentence structure (or paragraph structure, for that matter). i see a lot of fics pull off really wild stuff and do a fantastic job at it to convey confusion or disorientation or just scattered thoughts or reality, and whenever i try to emulate it i end up just writing how i always do lol.

💭 What is a headcanon you have about your own work?

i'm not really sure what this question refers to, honestly! like... my work is my work, what you see is what you get, you know? if i think a headcanon contributes to the story, i weave it in, and if i don't, then i keep it to myself and don't really talk about it.

is the question asking about something behind the scenes in a specific story? like, i can say chert in constellations is demi and i wrote them that way, but that was kind of something that came about through the writing of the story more than an idea i had at the beginning haha.
