I've started reading One Piece and i'm surprised how good it is. I genuinely anticipated that it would be mediocre and bloated, given its length, or prone to retcons or flip-flopping alliances.
I'm at chapter 230 (we're going to Skypeia) and it's funny, well written and planned and paced really well. I actually think the SBS corner might be my favourite part because Oda-sensei is just so funny. He'd do numbers on Tumblr.
I read Berserk and really did not enjoy it, and also read Attack on Titan to the same effect and both had all the issues above and had a much more raving fanbase.
