DONE: NEONWAVES SOCKS
I had unofficially declared 2018 a year for socks. I’ve really only made one pair before, and refused to do a heel flap which means it was all perfect except the heel.
Here is my first attempt at toe-up and two-at-a-time. I love it. I MUCH prefer to do (especially) socks two-at-a-time because:
you are ensuring that the length will be exactly the same for both
you are keeping the pattern fresh in your muscle-memory and have fewer opportunities to encounter inconsistencies if for SOME reason you stray from the pattern
it greatly reduces the chances of you being overwhelmed with second-sock-syndrome
I also really appreciate the toe-up method because of my experience just running out of yarn and needing to make sure you have enough. You can just keep going on the cuff after the big parts are taken care of.
Bonus: They were for a 2 year old, so they went quick, were super simple, and a great way to test out a new method for socks.
