Hi there! This is my Langblr introduction, which I probably should have done  weeks ago, but anyways-

I’m relatively new to the whole Tumblr scene, so I’m still trying to navigate my way through, but I think I’m getting there.

You can call me Neo. It’s not my real name, but I feel uncomfortable sharing my real name with strangers online. If we become good friends, I will probably tell you, though! 

About me:

I’m an 18 year old girl from Belgium. 

I love reading and writing ( both original content and fanfiction ), and - of course - languages. My love for other languages started when I was about six or seven years old, when I heard Colours of the Wind in multilanguage. I was absolutely fascinated. My want to study languages didn’t start until middle/high school, though.

However, before that, I did learn English!  When I was about eight years old, I bought my first Pokémon game. Pokémon games aren’t available in Dutch, so I had to play it in English. I had to  ask my mom what the words meant, until one day I was just able to understand English ( mostly in the written form, though ). My English was pretty basic until I started going onto the internet and chatting with people.

I’m an aspiring author. I actually write in English, and I’m currently working on my first book!

Some other things I love include: Animation - I’ve always been entranced by it and it drove me to discovering Anime when I was about 11 years old. I’ve been watching it ever since, though for the past year I haven’t watched a lot, maybe a few. But I want to start watching some series again soon!

Not only Anime, of course. I also enjoy Steven Universe, Voltron: Legendary Defenders and Gravity Falls. I’ve been slacking on following these shows, too, I’m afraid :’)

My childhood favourites were Bakugan and Beyblade, though I watched those in Dutch. ( It made me want to be a voice actor at one point! )

I also like TV shows. It’s all very relaxing, and very fun to watch at the end of the day with my family. My favourite right now is Lucifer. It’s a brilliant show and I really recommend watching it!

I’ll be making posts about Dutch to try and help out those learning Dutch. I’ll also be posting about my target language(s). I’m still figuring out the “studying languages on my own” stuff, but once I do that, I’ll probably be posting about that ( and my subsequent progress) as well!
