Headcanon for Neo 3: so because of that one hc an anon gave you about her and his she lost her shoes in the desert and the blurb you gave about the legos, I headcanon her as a barefooter! Like her feet got real calloused and tough because of her lifestyle in the Splatlands and she goes barefoot all the time now because she kinda hates shoes since she loves being free<3
i think this is so canon neo 3 hates shoes!! imagine for turf war when everyone is gearing up and someone sees that they aren't wearing any shoes and they're like "oh hey, if you don't have any gear for your feet I could lend you a pair of mine" and neo 3 is like "no thanks i dont like shoes" and everyone is so confused because 1) why would you go into a turf war without a third piece of gear you're missing out on advantages for the game and 2) who dislikes shoes??? and then the match starts and neo 3's team wins and they're the mvp of the team, which they did without a third piece of gear which happened to be the ones for THEIR FEET. that octoling can walk on anything.
bonus funny idea: turf wars start requiring shoes to be worn at all times and neo 3 is like "why are you forcing me to put on gear, do you WANT me to kick ass in this game any harder than I already do?"
