As I posted the other day, Iâve been working on the Stan Tumblr Art Style Challenge created by sealbatross. Though, for my version, I drew both the Stan twins! Yay!
Aimydraws/Nekoaimy
This was the first one I drew up. Though I donât like that most of their Stan twins art is Stancest, I do like to go through and see how they create their details. (Ford is blushing because Stan is messing with him about the kissing machine he had built).
But I decided to draw in Nekoâs art style because I just love their art style. Itâs unique. Cartoonish and yet kinda realistic. Itâs very interesting and quite beautiful in my eyes.
Pitopishi
When I got into drawing Gravity Falls and started scowering the internet for fanart and references, they were one of the first artists I viewed. And from the first artwork Iâd seen, I was hooked. I enjoy how they make their (not full color) art look kinda like a comic book style. Itâs just really cool looking and I love Pitâs Gravity Falls story they drew in the graphic novel. (Unfortunately, I couldnât follow the style of color and shading exactly. Especially not the dots lighter colored dots that were supposed to be in the colored portions of their artwork)
The only thing is I hardly ever saw Stan twins fanart from them. So, I figured Iâd create one myself.
Siro-cyll
I love theyâre line art style. How clean it is and how not all the lines connect, making the bendings in their arms and where their ears meet their hairline stand out. Iâm also a bit intrigued by their Trans!Ford head canon. Not in the sense that I think or would head canon Ford to be trans myself, but the idea of Ford being a girl (Or had been born a girl).
The drawing above is kind of a redraw of what happened to Dipper in 4th grade on Valentines Day. I figured that situation could have happened to Ford and Stan would make him one big card out of the ones he received (probably all from girls) to cheer himself up Ford was so happy and thrilled, he kissed Stan in thanks. (Itâs not Stancest, guys. Plus, I mean, theyâre KIDS. Come on)
I figured that this one could be considered Trans!Ford for those who wanna see it that way. (Itâd explain why Ford would be more openly affectionate)

This was SUPPOSED to be posted around @nekoaimy BD and Halloween, but then LIFE happened.
With my OWN BD coming up, I felt this was still good to post. Might write more to this one day. For now just a one off. Inspired by artwork aimy did, but with the added twist of Halloween costumes - lol.
Ford stands by the punch bowl grousing and feeling like an idiot. The first is because he's being forced to attend a Halloween party he doesn't want to. The second is because he's dressed like a cat.
Okay, not a complete cat. There's no tail, thank god - but a black headband with felt black ears was slapped on to his head and painted black whiskers were slanted on his cheeks - a little black dot on the tip of his nose.
The culprit? One Stanley Pines, worst twin (EVER) extraordinaire. Maybe a bit overdramatic, true, but this is all Stan's fault.
Ford had been minding his own business in their shared room when he'd been ambushed. What started off as a normal wrestling match between brothers resulted in Stan pinning him down, painting Ford up with their Mom's eyeliner and him begging Ford to join him at Rachel McCarthy's party.
Mainly because Stan is now eyeing Rachel after the whole Carla fiasco and why Stan wants to date anyone is beyond him.
...alright, this is not entirely true either. Ford gets why dating might be fun, but considering who he'd like to date, well...
Ford can easily say having six fingers on each hand is the least freakish thing about him. Not that Stan will ever, ever, ever, EVER know that. Nor will anyone else. Ford will take his secret shame to the grave.
Grave. Halloween. How fitting.
Regardless, Stan tossed the cat get-up on him, begged him to go to this thing, and now here Ford stands, everything full circle.
Stan, for his part, seems to be having a grand old time. Their mother's green eyeshadow is powdered all over his face and his hair has been lightly slicked down. Screw bolts have been tacked to either side of his neck to complete the monster ensemble and frankly, Ford worries about what kind of adhesive his twin used to accomplish this.
It wouldn't be the first time Stan got something almost permanently stuck to him. Ford keeps hoping for a last, but knows that will probably never happen...lovable, infuriating fool...
Ford really does need to start thinking seriously about looking into colleges. He's been playing Stan, saying he'll join him on their ship, but he knows that's a recipe for disaster.
Stuck alone on a ship with the object of his forbidden desires? Yeah, thanks but no thanks. Sure, Stan will be sour about the whole thing, but better they part then Ford potentially do something unforgivable.
Like kiss the breath out of the big, handsome, stupid-!
"Bro, what are you doing?"
Ford snaps out of his thoughts as Stan approaches him. He blinks and tries to be normal, "Nothing "
"Exactly. Nothing," Stan throws an arm around him, shakes him amiably, "Come on, join the party! You're next to the punch bowl - grab a drink, mingle, have fun!"
Ford carefully extracts himself from his brother's grip, frowning, "I agreed to come with you, Stanley. Not engage in the festivities. The punch is heavily spiked, there's no one here I wish to talk to, and this is miles from what I would constitute as 'fun'."
âAw, donât be like that, Sixer! Loosen up!â Stan pulls a face, bottom jaw jutting out, eyes rolling upwards as he growls, âFrankenstein say party gooood.â
â...you know youâre not Frankenstein right?â
âWhatâre you talkinâ about?â Stan tugs at one of the bolts, âThink I did a pretty good with the costume last minute anâ all...â
âFrankenstein is the name of the main protagonist in the novel, Stanley. The doctor. The creature he creates is not, in point of fact, named Frankenstein.â
Ford once again questions how he can love someone who can give him such a blank face only to follow it up with a raspberry and an eye roll, âYeah, like anyone past nerdsâll think of that.â
âAre you calling me a nerd?â
âIâll call you whatever you want if, you know,â he wiggles his eyebrows, âYou play it a lilâ cooler.â
Ford scoffs, âAnd why on earth should I do that?â
âBecause youâre bringing people down, man,â Stan whispers this to him as if itâs a terrible secret, âMissy Caldwell told me that Rachel was thinkinâ about busting out some kissinâ games! You know, like Spin the Bottle and Seven Minutes in Heaven and the like. but then she saw you over here, looking like the kid picked last for dodgeball and it kinda killed the mood!â
Ford looks over to see that Rachel is, indeed, standing with Missy and a large group of girls. They are whispering to one another and looking in his direction. Rachel, in particular, is wearing a sort of judging expression. The fact that Stan would take her concerns over his...
And why shouldnât he? His thoughts whisper. Youâre his brother. Youâre supposed to have his back. Be there for him as much as heâs there for you. He wants to kiss Rachel. Itâs normal for him to want to kiss Rachel. He canât know that you want to kiss him. He should NEVER know that. Should never even consider it.
Ford knows his thoughts are correct. They are smart. Logical. Everything he has always vowed himself to be. And yet...
...and yet.
âLook, just...â Stan waves at his face, âGive âem a smile. A little sign that youâre fine.â
Ford doesnât feel much like smiling, but he gives it his best shot. It must be pretty bad, because Stan winces, âYeesh.â
His lips drop, âNo good?â
âYou look like you just chugged the kool-aid at a cult meetinâ.â
That actually gets a genuine smile, a laugh, and Stan beams, pointing at him, âSee? Thatâs much better!â
Ford shakes his head, âWhat can I say? You always manage to get a rise out of me.â
The words leave and he feels a whiplash of heat wash over him. Shoot! Was that too suggestive? Apparently not, because Stanâs grin just grows, âThatâs my job, bro! Keepinâ you from being too stuck in the mud! Now come on...â
He puts a big arm around Fordâs shoulders and drags him over to the group of girls. Rachel appears much mollified now, as do Missy and the others. Theyâre all girlish giggles and coquettish smirks and Rachel sends some of the gals to collect the other boys, to set everything in order for a game of Spin the Bottle.
While she does this, Stan drags Ford to one side again, hissing, âAlright, Sixer - nowâs the time I need your big brains.â
âWh-? How-? Why?â Ford stumbles over the questions, because as far as he can tell, theyâre all intrinsically linked together. Stan explains, âYou can like, tell me the best way to spin the bottle. Use maths and wind velocity and science to tell me how best ta make sure it lands on Rachel.â
âI...â Ford starts, but then someone walks up to them. Itâs Becky Gilmore, another girl from Rachelâs pack, and she bats her eyelashes at them as she plays with a strand of her dark hair, âHi! Hey, uh, can-can I talk to Stanford for a sec?â
âHeâs Stanford,â Stan points to him even as Ford says, âIâm Stanford.â Both sound surprised as they give this information, but Becky is unfazed, âUm, yeah - I know. Look, can I just-?â
She sneaks out one slim hand to grab at one of Fordâs wrists, dragging him away from Stan who - clearly thinking this is a good thing - gives his brother a big smile and two thumbs up. Once out of Stanâs earshot, Becky says brightly, ââKey, so, Rachelâs like, all about your brother. Like, he has acne and whatever, but she totally wants to kiss him.â
Ford does his best to parse her words, separating the good from the bad, and doing his oh, so best not to comment on the bad, because it really gets his goat, teeth on edge at the acne remark. But Becky, clueless, just continues on, âI think maybe sheâs trying to make Joey jealous, âcause I know they broke up about three weeks ago and sheâs pretty sure heâs running around with Cheryl Manchino and we all know about Cheryl Manchino-â
(Actually, Ford knows nothing about Cheryl Manchino.)
â-but my point is, we definitely need to get your brother to lock lips with Rachel, but with the way the circleâs looking that might be problematic with you there, not to mention I mean, youâre - I mean, youâre cute and all and totally smart but like, I mean, I would never want to offend you or anything, but, okay - you get what Iâm saying, right?â
Ford, amazingly, does get what Becky is saying.
His face colors and he hides his hands behind his back and feels like complete trash. Becky, seeming to pick up on this somewhat, lightly taps one of his shoulders, âAw! There, there, kitty kitty! You wouldnâtâve enjoyed this game anyway, right?â
â...no.â his voice is so soft as to be near silent, âI suppose not.â
âGreat!â Becky returns with the same amount of sparkle she uses on the cheerleading field, âThen howâs about you set your brother riiiiiight-â she drags the word out as she looks around the circle, before pointing to a certain spot, â-there! Rachel and us girls are going to make sure the bottle picks him for sure. And you can stand on the sidelines in case we need an assist, âkay?â
Ford nods numbly and Becky bounces off. When he returns to Stan, he does his best to play stoic.
He fails miserably.
âWhoa,â Stan breathes, âWhatâs wrong?â
âNothing.â
âThat ainât ânothingâ,â Stan says pointing at his face, âThatâs âCrampelter gave me shitâ face and he ainât here. So? What is it?â
âI told you,â Ford hisses, âNothing.â
âWhat did Becky say to you?â Stan asks and thereâs such heat in the question. Anger and accusation and Ford pushes up his glasses and pours on the ice, âItâs not important. Youâre going to miss out on the game, Stanley. Now, you asked for my help and considering the curvature of the bottle and the state of the floor I would suggest sitting-!â
âI suggest you tell me what she said before I make a scene,â the words sizzle out of Stanâs mouth and close to Fordâs ear, nearly scalding it and Ford can feel the barely leashed fury rolling off his brother in waves and he starts shaking his head, âYou know, maybe I just donât want to talk about it, Stanley! Did you ever think of that?â
Stan actually stands up straighter, looking startled, âHoly shit...what did she say?â
Ford lets out an aggravated breath and points to the exact spot Becky indicated, âYou want your kiss? You want Rachel? SIT. DOWN. THERE. Iâll be outside!â
With that said, Ford exits the house. He starts walking down the neighborhood street, but he doesnât get far before heâs being yanked back, Stanleyâs hand turning him around roughly, âJust where the hell do you think youâre-?!â
âDO YOU WANT TO KISS HER OR NOT?!â the shout escapes Ford before he can leash it and it seems to echo in the empty streets. Thankfully Rachelâs neighbors seem to be tucked in for the night and no one left her house to follow them.Â
Stan, regardless, shushes him even as he seethes, âNot more than I want to know whatever the hell is up with you! Youâve been sulking all night, Sixer - hell, you been sulking the past couple of weeks if weâre gonna be honest about it!â
Ford looks down at his feet, kicks at the pavement even as Stan charges on, âThen Becky pulls you aside and whatever she says seems to be the last straw and I donât get-!â
âShe said I shouldnât play, alright!â Ford snaps, âShe said I should-should sit the game out and that Rachel wants to kiss you and-and...â he falters, drops off, because he doesnât want to hurt Stanâs feelings.Â
He doesnât want to tell him about the comments on his acne or how he might just be a ploy in some plot to make someone jealous because he does want his brother to have something nice - even if itâs fleeting, âAnd you should go back in there and get what you want!â
â...Becky said you shouldnât play?â
âShe-she figured I-I wouldnât enjoy it anyway and sheâs...sheâs not wrong...â
âNo,â Stan breathes in loudly through his nostrils, his hands curling into fists, âSheâs wrong. Sheâs very wrong and if she wasnât a girl, Iâd pound her right in the face!â
âStanley,â Ford sighs, suddenly very, very tired, âYou shouldnât want to pound anyone in the face. Boy or girl. And certainly not for my sake.â
âWhose sake would it be for then?â Stan returns, âIâve told you time and time again, Iâm here for you. Iâll protect you, Iâll-!â
âYou wonât always be there for me, Stanley.â
This remark stops Stan short. Makes his eyes widen in alarm, âWhat-? What does that mean?â
â...I think you know.â
âI sure as fuck donât!â
âLanguage, Stanley.â
âFuck your language!â Stan growls and comes closer. He gets in Fordâs personal space and Ford can feel the heat radiating off him. Heâs very much the monster heâs dressed as - exuding power and force and deadly seriousness as he looks at him, âI will always be there for you. Always.â
Ford lets out a sad, watery sound. He looks away and thereâs a restless wind that seems to rise up, to play with his hair and suddenly Stan touches his chin, directs his face back to him, âLook at me.â
The touch is clearly just meant to direct his eyes, but Ford feels it zip throughout his entire central nervous system, feels it shoot out his toes as he looks into Stanâs eyes and his twin says, âStanford, you ainât never got to keep anything from me. Alright? You ainât gotta hide or-or keep to yourself. Thinkinâ...thinkinâ maybe now this is why youâve been poutinâ so much lately, huh? You think weâre going to be apart?â
âStanley...â
âThat Iâm not going to be there for you? Because I will be, Sixer. Always and forever. You should know that.â
Another sigh, âRachel...â
âSheâs just some broad,â Stan promises, and then, with a chuckle, âA cute one, but just the same. Sheâs not as important as you are. Never will be.â
âYou-â Ford swallows around a big lump in his throat, his heart aching, âYou shouldnât say things like that.â
âWhy not? Youâre family.â
And itâs that, that last word, that helps Ford grab a hold of his senses. He gulps and lets out a shaky laugh, âUh, yeah - yeah. I am. And, uh, as your family - I...I think you should go back in there. Get your big kiss.â
Stan seems to thinking it over, but more for show than anything, as he cracks with a laugh, âNah, forget it. Plenty of fish in the sea.â
The breath that leaves Ford sounds as if heâs pushing off a sob. Which makes sense. Ford feels like sobbing. He feels strangely vulnerable and exposed. More so when Stan just. Keeps. Pushing. ââSides, if theyâre not going to let you play...â
âI told you,â Ford manages weakly, pathetically, âBecky wasnât wrong. I donât want to play.â
Stan doesnât say anything for awhile and itâs good. Itâs great. Ford can feel his lungs filling with air, can feel his sanity returning, can feel himself pushing away from the ledge of tears. Stan didnât mean for the things he said to sound so-so romantic. So much what Ford wants to hear.
He was being a good brother.
Ford wants to do the same - needs to do the same.
But then.
âStanford, any...any of those girls would be lucky to kiss you...â
And thatâs it.Â
Itâs the funniest thing.
Thatâs the thing that breaks Ford. Thatâs the thing that pushes him over that ledge. Thatâs the thing that leads him to cry out, âI donât WANT to kiss THEM, Stanley! I WANT-! I want-!â
And Stanâs looking at him as if heâs never seen him before. As if Ford is some stranger - raving and demonic and he is - he truly is. Because with an anguished whimper, he grabs Stan and forcibly tugs him over. He seals his lips over Stanâs.
He kisses him.
He kisses him.
Ford kisses Stanley.
The sound of pure shock that leaves Stan sears Fordâs soul and Ford catches a glimpse of Stanâs eyes - big and round and white. Startled. Stunned. Maybe even terrified. So he closes his own as he brushes his tongue against his twinâs inert mouth, as he eases just so between the seam of them to get the taste heâs always feverishly dreamed of and then-!
Ford pushes him away as hard as he can, as hard as he tugged him over to begin with. He pushes him away and with a choked âIâm sorry. Iâm so sorry.â he runs. He runs and runs. He runs off into the dark Halloween night and prays that Stan will forget what happened.Â

A gift for the always lovely @nekoaimy for their birthday a couple of weeks back! I hope you get a kick out of this silly story and that you had a wonderful birthday! :D Thank you so much for being such an awesome person and a joy to know!
"This is crazy!" Stan pants, running around a corner of the space station - a hellish shrieking sound behind him.
Ford follows after, even though it's difficult to move around in the bulky astronaut suit he's wearing.
It's yellow, Stan's is bright purple, and far in the distance the 'person' who was once wearing green has been replaced by a monstrous imposter.
...if he was ever human at all.
The green imposter already murdered Orange - they mistakenly ejected Pink, thinking her the alien slowly working through them all. Brown is dead, Black dead...Jesus, how many of them are actually left?
Stan would've never suspected Green, but then he never wanted to be on this station to begin with. This was all on Ford's head. He's the one who wanted to leave the Stan O' War II behind to go on this ridiculous mission.
He thought Stan might like to see the stars...
...as if he couldn't see them from the boat. But the sentiment was so romantic (even though Stan knows for a fact it was not) that he had to come. Besides, he'd follow his twin anywhere.
That's the thing about being incestually and idiotically in love with your sibling. You'll do whatever they want. Just to feel closer, just to get a taste of their attention, their affection...
Sad to be this old and still this stupid.
Stan and Ford catch their breath, far from the threat of the imposter. The ejection hatch is nearby... maybe it won't follow. It saw what they did to Pink.
Ford sighs, "I'm- I'm sorry, Stanley...I never would've imagined-!"
"Eh," Stan waves a hand, "We'll be fine, right? We've faced worse."
Ford's expression is grim and Stan doesn't feel very reassured. Not that he was expecting his brother to coddle him - not his style. But then Ford edges closer and husks, "There are worse things..."
Stan's not sure what he's talking about until Ford's lips are on his. Stan freezes, not sure what to do, how to react. He's dreamed of this, longed for this. And now it's happening.
Ford's tongue swipes against his, warm and soft and sweet and Stan trembles, drawing away with a whisper, "No."
The word encompasses the full horror he feels. The hurt. Ford's head angles to one side and looks confused, "Stanley..."
"You're not him," Stan's voice is hollow and he hears it as if from very far away. Ford just blinks, "How do you know?"
"... because he would never..." he trails off, then breathes, "No matter how much I want him to."
Ford...no, Yellow, just blinks again. Slower this time, "I see. I suppose I miscalculated..."
A watery, hysterical laugh escapes Stan, "Guess you did."
They stare at one another, a beat of tense silence passing. Stan whispers, "Where is he?"
"I think you know."
"...yes," Stan swallows thickly as tears, unbidden, escape, "I suppose I do."
He doesn't know why he repeats Yellow's earlier words. He doesn't know anything. He's dead, after all. He knows that now. The cold, dead weight of his heart tells him that.
"Shall I make it quick?"
The question just hangs there. And before Stan knows it, he's nodding his head, and he's unconsciously speaking, "Yes. It should be quick."
In a fast, lightning swift move, he tugs Yellow to him, holds him hard and fast as he intones, "For both of us."
He then slams the eject button, sending them both out into the cold, black darkness of space. The last thing Stan sees is the very thing Ford wanted him to see all along: the stars
