I do use my mobile device to track current events on the internet, stay updated on sports, as well as communicating with family and friends via text messaging.  I look forward to using more social media platforms to communicate with others while still maintaining a certain amount of privacy.  I do not use Facebook due to my profession, choosing to keep my personal life away from public view.

I am also a desktop vet. 

After reading the pew internet types I most closely identify as an Ambivalent networker. I use my cell phone for most internet access, I'm actually posting this from the Tumblr app on my cell phone. I also definitely feel that people need breaks from social media and being constantly connected. That's what separates me from a media mover which I also relate close to.

I was motivated by mobility yesterday to take the day off and go kayaking with my dog, Finbar. He was tired. I define myself as a digital collaborator in the Pew Internet Technology Types. I don’t have the most gadgets, but I use them to create, share, work, and play on a daily basis. The collaboration comes from wanting to share with others too...like this photo of Finbar. 

I love spending time with my husband, my best friend, my king! I love to hang out and have fun and just be with him. 

I would consider myself to be a “Media Mover.” I utilize the internet on my phone and desktop and visit my favorite social networking site on an almost daily basis to connect with friends and family. Through social networking sites, like Facebook and Instagram, I am able to share pictures of my family and share my travels and accomplishments with those who I love. I would consider having a great attachment to the internet,  not just for the socializing piece, but due to work and school related purposes.

I relate most with the “Media Movers”. I create and manage employees content for multiple social media channels for the salon that I manage. Social media marketing plays a key role in my day to day work life. Since my husband is in the Navy, I have moved from Colorado (where I grew up), to Idaho, to Washington State and now landing in Connecticut (which is where this beautiful sunflower littered picture is from). Social media is my way of staying connected to the many people and friends I have made throughout the years of traveling. Social media also allows me to stay connected in such a personal way with my family, who plays an important part of my life. Because of my high work and social attachment to it, social media is a significant chunk of my day to day existence making me a Media Mover. 

I would consider myself to be “Media Mover”. Although I don’t do it often I enjoy creating original content and sharing it with my friends online. I also enjoy sharing quotes and other inspirational messages often as well. I often find myself reading the posts of family, friends, and associates as a way to pass time. I do feel I have a strong attachment to the internet. I begin and end my day with something online or on my cell phone. I wouldn’t want to revisist a time without the internet or social media.
