I'm now realizing the reason I don't like certain black culture food is because of the way my mother cooked them.
Neck bones and oxtails.
No browning, no gravy, no veggies.
Seasoning in the water and boiling till cooked, and that's it. Wet gray meat.
It's not even wet grayness that turned me off to it. it's the smell of wet gray meat. It stinks. Its like this wet rotten earth
