as always, thanks for continuing to run this awesome blog!
just came across the Tidalpunk moodboard you made and wanted to share info about 'Ohana Wa'a, a group comprised of leadership from indigenous voyaging tradition organizations across Hawai'i.

ensuring our voyaging legacies live on
They are also supporting Lahaina relief and rebuilding efforts!

"As one ʻohana across all our islands, we have always come together to support the individual canoe communities that make up ʻOhana Waʻa when there is need. In Lahaina, our voyaging community has been changed forever. Amidst the ashes, leaders from our canoe family are rising to provide, not only for their family and neighbors, but for the whole community.
Funds donated here will be used for short-term relief efforts, to be made directly available to the Leialiʻi Hawaiian Homestead Hub and other surrounding affected areas. The coordination is being led by Lahaina-based voyaging alakaʻi who are organizing resources and logistics to make sure the Lahaina community is safe and provisioned in the immediate aftermath of the fires. "
(to anyone else on big island, come check out the ʻikuwā festival at 'imiloa on 11/5!)
Oooh this is super cool!
