Hear me out:

NCT 127 have had their comeback album this year with kick it and they've completed their repackage immediately after with punch right? So it's highly unlikely they'll have a third comeback or fourth for the rest of the year. To back up this idea we have subunits like NCT dream and WayV completing their comebacks and promotions of the year in the first 6 months.

Usually SM would spread their comebacks evenly across the span of the year but they can't do that if they have something coming up planned for the rest of the year which only leaves 2 options as to what they can be:

Option 1: NCT U comeback and no OT21 comeback

This is also unlikely to happen because as we know nct have already released comebacks for 3 subunits and a repackage along in the short span of half a year.

(Although it is possible and may happen? We can't deny that there is a slight chance this could happen, I don't think it's a high possibility though... ) They aren't just going to release an NCT U comeback and leave the rest of the year empty. That's not like them at all.

My guess is if they started off with that much energy speed and motivation then they'll continue which leaves us with...

Option 2: NCT 2020

There is a 6 to 5 month period from now till the end of the year depending on how you look at it that's enough time to release an NCT 2020 comeback and an album of they have it prepared.

This should give them (depending on the amount of promotion weeks) a space of a month and a half towards the end for an NCT U comeback, (it isn't impossible we've seen it happen in 2018)

So with option two we're really getting the slight possibility of a NCT OT21 comeback and an NCT U comeback if time works with us.
