The village was hardly the most appropriate place for a Countess, especially so close to the tavern, but Giulia intended to keep her hood up and simply enjoy the sense of freedom that came with being outside of the castle walls. At least she had planned to do that until she held herself bump into another. 

❝ And what on Earth happened after THAT? ❞

❝ If there is so much insistence on learning from the past, why is there so much EMPHASIS on looking to the future? Surely we cannot do both at the same time? ❞

“Look who I’ve found, running around and playing outside of the castle. Isn’t he just the most adorable creature you have ever seen? I wonder who his owner is though. He was outside all by himself”

Cristiana swept gracefully out of her carriage, pausing briefly to gaze at the castle. Pedro’s paranoia, justified though it had become, had confined her to a single suffocating corner of Portugal for the majority of her life. But her brother was dead, and the crown was hers. Since her coronation, Cristiana had taken every opportunity travel and further her nation’s diplomatic interests. Shaking away the thoughts of her past, the Queen greeted the person she came across with a smile.

-- “Please be quiet, if yo-,” A stretching yawn tore Beonne’s mouth slowly open. “You don’t mind. I’ve a horrid headache.”

       “The sound of children’s laughter as they enjoy the snow         does make the cold weather somewhat more bearable,         do you agree?”

♔|♱     Come, Princess, your mother would love the snow! The words of one of the ladies as a they threw snow among themselves was all the temptation Ana needed. Leaning down to gather a small ball between her gloved hands, she watched them beginning to run around before she threw a snow ball at the lady furthest from her. Unfortunately the woman darted away and the target hit became another. “OH! I beg your pardon.” The other ladies continued to run away, giggling among themselves and leaving Ana rather red in the face.
