This is my go to cleaner, I honestly believe Hestia enjoys my cleaning using natural cleaners instead of the unhealthy chemical stuff, no shade if you use those mind you but I think youd enjoy the art of making your own things as an offering to Hestia. Hope you enjoy
Natural Orange Vinegar Cleaner
Ingredients
Peels from 2–4 oranges (organic if possible)
White distilled vinegar
A clean glass jar with a lid
Spray bottle
Water (for diluting)
Instructions
Fill the glass jar about halfway with fresh orange peels.
Pour white vinegar over the peels until they are completely submerged.
Seal the jar and store it in a cool, dark place for 2–4 weeks.
Shake the jar gently every few days.
Strain out the peels and pour the infused vinegar into a clean bottle.
Mix equal parts orange-infused vinegar and water (1:1) in a spray bottle.
How to Use
This cleaner works well on:
Kitchen countertops
Bathroom sinks and faucets
Glass (wipe dry with a lint-free cloth)
Tile
Stainless steel
Refrigerator shelves
Garbage cans
Spray the surface, let it sit for 1–2 minutes, then wipe clean.
Optional Additions
For extra cleaning power or fragrance, you can add:
10–15 drops lemon essential oil for a fresh scent.
10 drops tea tree essential oil for its deodorizing properties.
A few sprigs of fresh rosemary or thyme to infuse alongside the orange peels for a pleasant herbal aroma.
Avoid Using Vinegar On
Do not use vinegar cleaners on:
Natural stone (granite, marble, travertine)
Unsealed grout
Waxed wood
Cast iron
Electronic screens
The acidity can damage these surfaces.
Storage
Store the cleaner in a cool, dark place. It will stay effective for about 6–12 months because vinegar is naturally preservative.
This citrus vinegar cleaner leaves a fresh orange scent behind while effectively cutting grease, removing soap scum, and neutralizing odors without harsh chemicals.
