Happy Pride Month! Be with the rainbow!

I remember when i first saw him

My heart skipped a beat and i felt as though there was some miraculous force making him oddly compelling

He was a mystery i was determined to solve

And so from the shadows i did

I admired him from a distance

His smile

His intelligence

His corny punch lines

And his thrilling sense of adventure

He was remarkable and i was ashamed of feeling that way

I remember meeting her

I remember thinking nothing else in the world could be as beautiful as this angelic being standing in front of me

Her rebellious spirit

Bold sense of fashion

And obsession with conspiracy theories all added to my attraction

His green eyes puts me in an intoxicating trance

Her gentle touch sent a shock through my body

I remembered feeling bizarre at first

I couldn't understand it

Didn't know if i believed it

I started to hate it

Why am i like this

Why do i swing both ways instead of shooting straight

How can i adore the curves of a girl and still be attrackted by the charming sight of a guy

Why can't i make up my mind is the thought that haunted me like a recuring nightmare

I suffocated on confusion

I remember hating myself for feeling that way and not being able to stop it

I remember feeling uncomfortable in my own skin

I remember wanting to pop pills until i only liked girls because that's what's normal

That's what my parents want

That's what society wants

That's the only acceptable option

Or at least that's what i thought before

Before i realized that there are people in this nefarious world we live in that don't let who you like define you

Before i realized that I've only got one life so I'm gonna love whoever i want to

Before i realized that i have just as much of a right at happiness as anyone does

And I'll shield myself from the daggers they shoot at me with there disgusted disapproving eyes

And there hatred can no longer push me to the brink of my extinction

None of that matters
