5: what activities do they enjoy together ?

Gray likes everything related to art and has a certain talent with painting. And while Natsu isn't really good at it, he likes to surprise Gray with painting session at his home. It'll usually end up with both of them covered in paint and laughing on the ground but it's precious time that Natsu hold close to his heart.

They also go hiking a lot, mainly so Natsu can spend his energy out. It's a moment where they are both quiet, simply enjoying the hike.

16: if they broke up, what would be their opinions on each other ?

No matter what the reason is, they will always love the other, so they would not have bad thoughts about the other, not after they spent most of their life together. The respect for each other will still be there.

19: if they could each write a single line in their mariage vows, what would they be?

Natsu : "I can't wait to spend the rest of my life arguing about who makes the better pancakes and who gets to decide what's for diner or where the fournitures should be, since it will mean that we have a home together and forever."

Gray: "I sometimes ask myself 'why me' when you have the whole world around you to discover, but then you smile at me like I hold the moon or something and I understand, because that's what i feel about you too."

29: what are each of their signature foreplay moves?

Gray likes to go down on Natsu's neck and gently bite it, since Natsu is very sensitive there. Natsu would melt until his lips are able to catch Gray's earlobe between them, and it's Gray turn to go pliant against him.

Natsu: Hey, buddy!

Gray: Hmmm?

Natsu: *smiling*

Gray: * hesitated, but still smiled*

Natsu sighs as he takes off his jacket and places it on the coat hanger. His shoes come next, by shaking his foot a few times until they come off, not even caring about where they are landing.

He makes his way towards the living room where he tosses his phone and wallet on the table.

He finally reaches the couch and lets himself be swallowed by the cushions.

The faint sound of his phone captures his attention, breaking his introspection. The little light on the device is flashing red, meaning that someone called and has left a voice mail.

He is tired; like he is most of these days lately. It makes him even more tired because this is not who he is. This is not how he is.

He wonders for a moment if it’s worth the effort of standing up, but his stomach suddenly reminds him that he hasn’t eaten since the morning and that it couldn’t wait any longer. So he gets up from the couch and presses the little button on the phone, putting it on speaker, before making his way towards the kitchen.

He’s opening the fridge when he hears a sigh and a throat being cleared before a voice fills the silence around him.

“Hey...”

And Natsu freezes at the fridge door. He can feel his heart drop before it starts to beat faster against his ribcage.

“You’re not picking up so I guess you’re not home… uh... I don’t even know why I called so I think it’s a good thing that you didn’t pick up. You’re maybe ignoring me—”

Natsu closes his eyes to keep his tears from falling as his body finds itself to function again. He shuts the fridge’s door and tries to breathe evenly as the voice comes again, bringing back memories he wants to forget, bringing back a face he wishes he had never met.

“—Which is completely fair... I-I know I did some stupid shit and gosh I-I wish I was a better person. You deserved someone better and I was selfish and...”

The tears are streaming down his cheeks now, against his own will, and for a moment he hates himself for being so weak, so sensitive about this. Because it’s been a month already since his relationship with Gray ended. He must be feeling better. He should be feeling better.

“I miss you. Fuck, I miss you so much, Natsu and-and I’m so fucking sorry for what I did. I know no matter what I’ll say, nothing is gonna change but I love you…”

Natsu brings a hand to his mouth, holding back any sound that could come out, as if someone might hear him even when he is living alone now. As if someone would care.

“I love you...” Gray repeats. “I love you. Please forgive me. I promise I’ll do better. I promise.”

Gray is crying now. Natsu can tell by the way his voice wavers. And the sadness is replaced by anger, because how could he be crying and asking for forgiveness when he’s the one that ended their relationship?

“I’ll be a better person for you. I can change. Just take me back and I’ll prove it to you…I love y-“

He doesn’t know when he started moving but the next thing he knows is that his finger is pressing hard against the button to end the call. He can feel his body shaking from all the anger and sadness but he doesn’t allow himself to completely give in.

He brings his hands to his face, wiping the tears away, erasing all the traces of his breakdown before he makes his way towards the kitchen again, opening the fridge door, looking for something to cook.

He is tired. So tired, like he is most of these days lately.

But he won’t let himself be defined by it.

He has to get better.

“I want to be an Orca in my next life,” Natsu says suddenly.

It’s midnight and Gray is ready to fall asleep.

He had spent his day with Ultear and Lyon. Since they are all busy with work most of the time, he rarely gets to meet both of them together, so they decided to spend an entire day together at Ultear’s house.

And while Gray really appreciated his moment with his sister and brother, he can’t deny that when he came home a little earlier, he was exhausted. Mostly because he had a fight or two with Lyon and he had to listen to his sister talking about this girl she met last week and the fact that she wanted to treat her to dinner without knowing how to ask.

All he really wants is a good night of sleep now; which is kind of inconvenient when his lover, on the other hand, seems perfectly awake.

Sighing, Gray runs a hand on his face before taking a look at Natsu. The young man is lying next to him, one arm behind his head while the other rests on his stomach, his fingers tapping softly on his bare skin. It’s a little dark around them but since Gray is close enough, he can see that Natsu has his eyes locked on the ceiling, his expression letting Gray know that something is wrong despite the innocent words that Natsu said out a few seconds ago.

And Gray wonders for a moment why he didn’t notice it earlier when he remembers that he barely paid attention to anything once he was passed his door and simply crashed on the couch. It’s Natsu who woke him up to go rest properly in their bed.

Frowning a little, Gray moves one of his hand to the one on Natsu’s stomach, gently sliding his fingers between his.

“Why?” Gray finally asks softly.

“Because they are completely free. To go wherever and do whatever they want. Also, because they are the most badass mammals in the ocean right now. Like, did you know they could kill the white shark? It’s super rare, but scientists actually recorded a few pieces of evidence that it actually happened. It’s totally crazy. I was watching a video about them earlier and babe...they are just wonderful and so precious. It’s—”

Gray decides to let Natsu talk without interrupting. It’s endearing to see him getting so worked up over something he finds an interest in. But while Gray listens to him, he doesn’t miss the sad gleam in his eyes. At some point in his rambling, Natsu takes a shaky breath and finally turns his attention to Gray, eyes shining with unshed tears.

Gray is so familiarised with the situation that he isn’t even confused by the scene. Instead, he moves, so he is now laying on his back and opens his arms. Natsu doesn’t take too long before he lets himself melt into the gentle embrace, hiding his face in the crook of his neck.

Gray says nothing as he kindly wraps his arms around his lover. He can feel Natsu trembling against him.

It’s the second times this month and Gray doesn’t have enough fingers to count all the others that had happened during this year. It’s not something Natsu has control over, so Gray has never held it against him, no matter how many times Natsu tells him he should because he has a fucked-up brain. No matter how many times Natsu shuts him out because he’s too afraid and feels guilty to make Gray go through this.

Life, Gray has learned, isn’t kind and fair for everyone. And while it pains him to see Natsu in this state, he also knows it’s inevitable for him to experience it. He is just glad that he is the one who is able to hold Natsu together when the situation gets like this.

“I hope I’ll be an Orca too then,” he whispers.

His fingers are moving up and down Natsu’s spine. He can feel his warm breath on his neck. He doesn't how much time passed but at some point Natsu is not crying anymore, seeming completely calm. Gray knows he’s not sleeping by the way Natsu’s hand is gripping at his hip. He is fairly certain that he would have a little mark in the morning, but he doesn’t mention it, because he knows that this is Natsu’s way to get a grip on his reality.

He just hopes that he’ll keep feeling real enough so Natsu won’t lose himself to the dark in his mind.

Natsu : "Why do you want to know? So you can take him from me ? Just like you did with Happy? No fucking way. Let your imagination do the work and I hope you'll see him never"

In an AU where Lucy and Erza are just curious about the love life of their friend, mainly because until now it was always a disaster.

Gray : "He is... Okay? " To Lyon and Ultear in this same AU.

"Why do you make it sound like a question ? You're with him, you're supposed to know if he's okay, moron. Beside when someone's ask you 'what does your boyfriend look like ?" This implied that a description is needed with, well formed sentences. Can't believe you're my brother. Should have told mom to drop you somewhere when we still had the chance and..." Lyon replied.

"Lyon I don't think you need to go this far. He's obviously shy about it." Ultear said while doing her nails.

"I'm not shy! We've been together for only a month and..."

"Oh so you want to keep him for yourself for now? But i don't understand how is that stopping you from describing him. We didn't ask for you to bring him over " Ultear fought back.

"I..."

"But if you want to bring him over, please do, at least we'll have someone else to focus on other than your daily crisis about how "beautiful" and "hot" he is." Lyon added.

"I hate you. Both of you" Gray said before leaving to his room.

Hiking together, and if they feel like it, even camping, just to spend some times with each other for a little time.

Gray wanted to tell them other a diner but Natsu wanted to take him on a date that same night and it was supposed to be a surprise but because Natsu is clumsy and an idiot he sent a message on their group chat (Lucy, Erza, Wendy, Rogue, Sting and more) just to stay " Me and Gray are dating, don't text me or him we're not in town this weekend. or else I'll make sure to put fire on the things you love the most ! But NOT you Wendy. You can call us whenever you need baby."

Needless to say Gray was mad.

12 : if they each other went to go buy an outfit for one another, what would they get ?

Natsu would buy a dress : "so now you can look like a Real princess babe."

Gray would buy a real paire of pants, shoes and t-shirt : "so now you can dress like a fucking normal person."

14: what memories do they share together and will stay with them forever ?

The stolen moments where their hands gently brush togheter until one of them is brave enough to take it properly. Or the soft kisses coming out of nowhere and lending in some odd places, like shoulders, behind the ear or hand.

But what really stay with them is when they are sitting on their couch, press against the other, a peaceful silence around them, eyes heavy with sleep but too content and caugh up in the moment to allow themselves to fall asleep.

Gray can't help but smile as he watches his boyfriend letting his body move sensually to the rhythm of the song currently playing loudly. The lights are dim, almost non-existent except for the blue and purple rays that occasionally appear.

Natsu is in the middle hundreds of people but all Gray can see is him, dancing like there is no tomorrow. He looks ethereal like this, eyes closed and his hands touching his own body, a faint smile on his lips.

"Damn that pinkette is so hot," someone says next to him.

Gray turns his head towards the voice. The guy is blond and tall, quiet good looking if Gray is honest and his eyes are on Natsu, shimmering with wants.

Gray can't blame him. Natsu always has this kind of effect on people, dragging attention on him, because of his good looking and his personality. Gray used to hate this part of having Natsu as a boyfriend. But as time went by, and their bond tightened, it started to be amusing to watch people try and fail to gain Natsu's attention.

"I heard he has a boyfriend," Gray lets out.

The blond turns his face to him, an eyebrow arching in question.

"And he's out there alone looking like that? What kind of boyfriend is he?" The guy says in disbelief.

Gray can't help but chuckle a little at this.

"The kind who is confident enough and trusts his better half to be loyal to him," Gray answers,

He lifts up his glass to his lips to finish his drink before he gets up from his place at the bar and makes his ways towards his lover.

He only has to take a few steps and then his hands are replacing Natsu's one on his body, as they start to move together. Natsu doesn't try to move away, as if even when his eyes are closed, he could sense it’s Gray.

Gray chuckles slightly and pecks his nose and Natsu opens his eyes then, calm and completely at ease with the situation as he settles his arms around Gray's neck, bringing him closer.

Their faces are only a few centimetres away and Gray can clearly smell the faint remaining of the sweet alcoholic drinks his lover ordered earlier, something with strawberry and mint and Gray can't help but lean a little closer. He brushes their lips together, and he can feel the way Natsu's lips slowly lift in a lazy grin.

It's intoxicating and Gray feels warmth taking upon his body.

"It took you long enough to join me here baby," Natsu tells him.

They are so close that despite the loud music, Gray can clearly understand what the other boy is saying.

"I was enjoying the view," he responds.

Natsu only hums before he presses a gentle kiss on the corner of his lips. Gray doesn't let him back away though and capture his lips against his own for a kiss.

It's slow, sweet and warm just like the way they are still dancing. It's everything Gray wished and ever wanted. He feels Natsu slipping his hands in his hair, slowly moving his fingers in some soft caresses.

It’s almost overwhelming; all these sensations he's experiencing right now. And he finds himself wanting more as the seconds pass. So, he playfully bites Natsu's bottom lip and this has the boy seperates his lips from him.

He almost complains but his eyes falls on the wide grin presents on his boyfriend's face, and Gray doesn't know how to make his brain work again.

"I want to give you your grin.." he bluntly says.

And for a moment Natsu looks at him with a confused look on his face, his smile disappearing a little.

"Uh... Okay?"

Gray can't help but laugh as he rests his forehead against Natsu's.

"Sorry that came out wrong.. I just love your smile and I want to be the reason for it." He clarifies softly.

There's two hands on his cheeks now and a pair of lips gently pressing onto his nose this time.

"You don't have to worry about that. You're already the reason for my smile princess." Natsu assures him.

And maybe it's because they are a little drunk or because Gray has always been whipped for Natsu, but he founds himself laughing at the statement, because truly, he never felt happier that this very moment before.
