It’s Exactly What It Looks Like
Many things were wrong with this picture right now. Pepper standing inside Tony’s lab wasn’t unusual, considering she was one of a few allowed in there if only to physically drag him out by a limb. A shiny new Iron-Man armor bearing the name Mark-49 was entirely statically likely, except Tony had moved on from physical armors a while ago. Everything was about nanotech and his bleeding-edge line. Pepper inside of the said Mark 49 armor and gently having FRIDAY assemble it on her person was a new experience as it surrounded the dark purple jumpsuit.
Every fiber of her being felt like it was on high alert as it quietly assembled around her. She wanted to jump about fifteen feet behind her when she saw a wild Natasha Romanoff walking by the lab and stop to make eye contact with her. If the floor could suck her into it right about now, that would swell. What the hell could she do? The entire team was a bunch of gossips despite everything, it was human nature she assumed.
“Friday, let Natasha into the lab instead of having her gawk outside.” Pepper quietly ordered as she groaned. This is exactly what she didn’t want. Frankly in the ideal world of Pepper Potts being in the armor wouldn’t be a sign to the super friends that she was joining their tightly carved abs and glutes club.
