I do still enjoy this cutscene, I like how Duran uses shapeshifting to play mindgames since yeah in a stand up one on one fight with Kerrigan he stands no chance. But by playing mindgames he was able to give himself a chance.
Also just love seeing the Queen of Blades flex.
Look ok, I'm not saying Blizzard should have done away with kerrigan and made something else with the sc2 Zerg storyline, but Brood War story and SC2 story just don't make no sense when put side by side
Agreed I’m completely convinced that sc2′s writers just never played broodwar and only read some character profiles like it’s literally an entirely different and boring generic genre
Duran? Seriously? He did like... nothing substantive. He was an afterthought. A convenient plot device to give them The Artifact. They even dropped his whole deception spy thing in favor of giving him a big laser attack. It’s almost like they actively disliked broodwar and discarded most of what made everything interesting
