You'll play as a kid, who is playing on his Narita One PC, until his mother tells him to go to sleep for the night. Unexpectedly, the pc boots up by itself and the kid ends up inside the game he was playing, Narita Boy, and is tasked right away with a very important mission: retrieve the memories of the creator of the game, which were stolen by a group of evil programs called Stallions. At that moment, the kid realizes that maybe going to bed wasn't a bad idea... . The cover art is amazing indeed! . #naritaboy is free to keep on GOG if you redeem it within 40 hours! It's DRM free, so you can keep it and play it wherever you want. It's the PC version, works amazingly with Proton and doesn't require a gaming PC. I reviewed it in my Journal Page 12, link in bio. . I'm really enjoying .hack//G.U. Vol 1! Although I wish the protagonist stayed as edgy as in the beginning, but oh well, he might become dark again XD. . Yesterday I worked on setting up a new 1TB sd card on my Steam Deck, and now I have plenty of room for my ps2 games. I could already fit smaller games, but I was having trouble with the rest. If you need a nice front-end for emulators on Linux, I recommend Emulationstation, which gets installed by EmuDeck, or at least it was when I got it. It's a Metroidvania-like game that I played this summer, about a kid entering a videogame looking for its creator's memories in order to save that world, traveling through a variety of neon soaked landscapes, deserts and peaceful archipelagos. One of the aspects I love the most about this game is the soundtrack! It's perfectly Retrowave / Synthwave, and it channels that 80s feeling into the game. It's so addictive to listen to, that I admit I've listened to it quite a lot. I'm currently listening to one of the songs, Trichroma Sunset (Extended), while writing this. If you want to have a listen to it, it's by Salvinsky, who's also part of Studio Koba, the developer team behind the game. . They're currently planning a spin-off game, Haneda Girl, and I'm immensely excited about it!
