Horizon of the captivating Skandha was the only domain that a person could even call a home, the disaster curses used it as such.
It wasn't only deadly, it was beautiful... The sand and the palm trees on one side, and the salt water on the other, and, as shown in many angles of the scenes, there were shallow waters and also really deep ones, within this domain, you don't even need to move a finger, your shikigami will simply destroy everyone, and if there is someone who gives you a challenge, you can simply restrain them, throw them in the deep water and let them drown while you drink something.
If Gege actually knew how to make Dagon use this domain, nobody would've survived it, not even Toji, Gege just needed to nerf Dagon's brain when Toji entered.
The same guy who drew a sigil with his blood to open the domain, the same guy who divided the hit effect and could recognize which foe was a real threat, couldn't defeat a simple human with an "I punch you hard" power? That's basically how to not write a fight.
Underrated domain, underrated users fought an overrated fan favorite plot armor character. And obviously the second one won.

Naobito is an interesting character from how he reacts to Toji
Somehow this turns into a long ramble about Naobito. I am still crazy fangirl for Toji not Naobito 😭 please believe me
I looked up the Zenin family chart. Looks like Naobito is the 2nd son of his generation, with one brother on both sides. His elder brother had Jinichi and Toji. His younger brother had Maki and Mai. He himself had another son then Naoya.
So, it looks like Naobito is the only son in his generation to have none non-sorcerer kid. At least that's what Maki's father implied.
He seems mild or indifferent towards Toji and is the same with Maki and Mai. I say "mild" because he doesn't look the type to bully the non-sorcerers. He is also indifferent because all 3 of Toji, Maki, and Mai weren't well protected by him. That's how Toji got the scar on his lips in the first place. Maybe he just accepts the collective mind state in the Zenin family/clan. Maybe he sees no need to change that.
It looks to me he treats them three just the same as everyone else: mostly indifferent. Even though he respects them as a person, unlike the rest of Zenins.
I probably read it from somewhere says Naobito is on at least neutral terms with Toji and hence Toji sold Megumi to him. Knowing Toji, that probably doesn't matter, especially after Megumi's mom died. Toji sort of just gave up.
I wonder if Naobito pity Toji, on a certain level.
Somewhere in the comic said Toji's life at Zenin was hell because he couldn't kill curse. However if you follow the story, that just isn't true. He is powerful enough to kill the squid dude. Given a pair of glasses or a regular socerer as mission companion so he could see the target, I don't doubt he would be the equivalent of one of the most powerful level 1's. Killing is killing. It's a waste of talent.
Naobito strikes me as a comparatively open mided tradition sorcerer, given how he dealt with Toji when he suggested Megumi and what he has down in his will. He must have kept an eye on how Megumi turned out as a sorcerer. He possibly knew something was off so he had that hidden clause in his will. If Gojo is doing fine, that means the world is probably doing fine. If he isn't, then that means the whole world is certainly neck deep in trouble. I suspect he added that after Toji was dead and entrusted Gojo to deal with his son.
The interesting thing is when Toji appeared in front of him, he bursted out his name. Then Maki asked Naboti who he is, Naobito said he was a ghost(ぼうれい).
I think Toji left him a very strong impression. Not only because he was his nephew.
So I do get it when Maki, who didn't seem to be aware of the existence of Toji, said she wanted to be the head of Zenin and Naobito threw a laugh. Who wouldn't? After knowing Toji. I think Naobito genuinely finds what Maki said hilarious.
How Naobito sees Toji is complicated, but he only thinks about him as much as the others (which is little to very little). Naobito looks like the sort of person who doesn't really care about a lot on a personal level. True he engages with the world but is quite emotionally detached from people. So he sees little difference between Toji, who has talent but zero curse power, and his son, who is a traditional Zenin through and through (except being Toji's crazy fanboy). Dude is distant af lol and that's why he could see the value in Toji and treat him with a certain level of respect, but did fuck all. He is traditional enough to have either Naoya or Megumi as the next head of Zenin.
