Actually Saint and Shin are extremelyyyyy unhealthy about each other. No normal friendship expresses this much priority and love for each other as they do in those flashbacks. They are borderline ignorant of the rest of the world- they are each other's world.
Thats precisely why the reaction Saint has to Shin "leaving" him comes out so naturally, so involuntarily, so pathetically- because what is he, in his raging fit, supposed to do when his world is leaving him.
Thats also completely understandable that Shin can't get himself to not care, even if he hates Saint. You can hate your home as much as you want- hate the cracks in your wall and the shitty paint- but you will still put the bucket under the leaking roof because you can't get yourself to stop caring.
They're so unhealthy, theyre so toxic, its obsessive and i am deranged about them.
