He uses these weapons in Soulcalibur II, Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV, and Soulcalibur V. They are said to have been found by Voldo's beloved master Vercci after sending his fleet on the hunt for Soul Edge, and have been Voldo's go-to weapons ever since his master's death. As Voldo's default weapons, they are well-balanced and have no weaknesses or special effects. To the untrained eye, the katars appear identical, and it isn't clear which is Manas and which is Ayus. Voldo (ヴォルド, Vorudo) is a character in the Soul series of fighting games. Voldo made his first appearance in Soul Blade and has returned for all the following sequels. Voldo first appeared in Soul Edge, offering the first insights of his unpredictable play style and mannerisms. Later, in the sequel, Soulcalibur, he gained many of his staple moves and traits that would later stay in his reappearance during following games Soulcalibur II, Soulcalibur III and Soulcalibur IV. He is one of the few characters to have been present in every version (either arcade or home) of almost all of the games in the series; in the main series, he, Siegfried, Mitsurugi, Nightmare and Cervantes are the only characters to have appeared in every installment. Voldo remains one of the most well known and popular characters in the series due to his unique playstyle and disturbing appearance. Voldo is incapable of sight and speech. Thus, making him reliant on his senses and only being able to make grunting, groaning and hissing noises. What lies in his soul is Allegiance. In Soulcalibur V's promotional material he is referred to as He Who Is Bound By Blind Allegiance.

She has since returned for Soulcalibur III, Soulcalibur IV, and for Soulcalibur: Broken Destiny. Talim is nicknamed The Last Priestess of the Winds, and true to that nickname, has the power to sway the wind and relies on earth's nature to guide her in her adventures, and most importantly in battle. She fights with dual Elbow Blades, and as said earlier, uses her advantage of wind control to give her an unpredictable edge during combat — being able to hop around and over the opponent at any moment. This unique tactic, and Talim's soft and innocent personality, have lead to her becoming a major fan favorite, thus receiving much praise from the Soulcalibur community. What lies in her soul is Purity.

Kilik also mentions that he has no regrets with his decision.Kilik is chronologically 40 years old, though his age is now listed as 'unknown'. The reason behind his seemingly halted aging is currently unknown, though it is likely that he has become like the original Edge Master, who lived for centuries before retiring the role to Kilik. It is possible that becoming the new Edge Master either stops aging, or greatly reduces it for long periods of time.According to the artbook, Kilik uses the weapons of the warriors who served Algol when he was human.

On the one hand, in all games that have contained both Mi-na and Kilik as characters, Kilik has been one of the starting characters, while Mi-na has been an unlockable character, thus giving the impression that she is the "clone" character. However Seong Mi-na was introduced in Soul Edge which was released before Kilik's debut game Soulcalibur meaning he is the clone character. On the other hand; most of the attacks that Mi-na has that makes her similar to Kilik were given to her afterSoulcalibur - furthermore they were taught to her by people who had previously trained Kilik, meaning that they were his attacks originally.Kilik's name is the Japanese pronunciation of the Sanskrit "Hrih," a seed syllable representing the Buddha of the Western Quarter, and the qualities of meditation and compassion. It comes from the Buddhist mantra he speaks in his Soulcalibur ending and his Critical Finish: "Om vajra dharma hrih" (JP: "On basara darama kiriku"). Why names like Xianghua, Seong Mi-na and Yun-seong were transcribed properly into English, and Kilik's wasn't, is a mystery.
