Stamper used to be a regular nobody who wanted to see the bigger world, Stamper escaped along with a group of found family, but it didn't go well. They were smuggled to work for grizzco, as it is one of the places with a good pay and where you don't need documents to work....

Stamper was the only left standing and not long after returned to Deep-sea metro, where Stamper was sanitized. It did not go right, with Stamper missing half a face (and brain). Being viewed as dead in this condition, Stamper was disposed of, but Stamper survived and slowly took over operating the metro. Everything Stamper says about position as an operative is bullshit and lies, and if Stamper is confronted by a superior its user disconnected
