Serious thoughts about the snakes in leviticus (movie) because leviticus (bible) is lowkey about like shedding everything your "outer self" + earthly desired to reach a pure holiness as is necessary to be a like true believer of god (its actually been a million years since i read this so correct me if im wrong) like possibly cornplating but walk with me okay snakes literally shed their outerskin at times to reveal a new self....the fact ryan and naim share a snake ring + the first scene involves the snake almost feels like a reclamation of a symbol which usually refers to sin/temptation/indulgence in your desires but when they're able to shed their beliefd in that / their fears (like a snake) they can find love and connection w each other. or something.
