Well, Himeno IS a snob first and foremost and and a doctor second, so she would make comments on their outfits (especially Emu's lolrip) and their outdated medical gear

I haven’t watched gotchard yet but what is your opinion on kudo rinne as a character in general and as a rider. I’ve seen some Redditers critique her debut as the first female secondary rider and how spanner should have been the true secondary and there is that one rinne hater on Reddit who claims her actor can’t act even though it was her debut even comparing her to Takeru Satoh when he first started acting in Den-O. Considering that she has a big impact in the franchise as the first female secondary do u think the writers did her character justice cuz from what I’ve heard the show is considered one of the least favourite among the fans(most of the hate were from geats and gavv fans but there were also valid criticism as well. I’d like to read your take on this)
I can't say I agree with most of the criticisms. I love Rinne, both as a character and as a Rider.
I don't even know why they'd want Spanner as a secondary. I found him dull and uninteresting as a rival for Houtaro. He's just a generic guy who thinks he's better than the protag because he has more credentials or some shit. And his constant put-downs of Houtaro were infuriating even if he can back them up by actually being better than Houtaro... which he doesn't.
Not to mention the main/secondary opposing each other plotline is so overdone, overrated and over-emphasized in KR anyway. So having Rinne, who remained on Houtaro's side the whole time despite their differences, is a refreshing change of pace.
(It's pretty hilarious to see people watching Zeztz now complaining about how Nox still hasn't fully sided with Baku... well people, there's a show where the main and secondary never fought each other! Wonder of wonders, I know!)
I know about the Reddit Rinne/Reiyo Matsumoto hater you're talking about. Given that they made some baseless sexual accusations about Reiyo when she was underage during Gotchard's production (she was 15 when she got cast as Rinne- she didn't even get to start high school!), they're a hardly reliable source of legitimate criticism for her acting. They got banned multiple times on the meme subreddit over it. Fuck that bastard.
I thought Reiyo did fine for a complete amateur. Was it perfect? Of course not. She's a total newbie to acting, and in a main role no less. If fans refuse to give her grace for that, it's on them for expecting immediately great acting from a show that hires newbies more often than not. And her awkwardness lent itself well to her portrayal of Rinne who herself was a pretty awkward person.
I do admit that I wish her debut was done in the show proper (rather than the winter crossover) and much earlier. Her in show debut was pretty late for a Reiwa secondary, but it's closer to how a Heisei 2 secondary would debut (some of them also making cameos in the winter crossover, albeit in suit only), which is why I didn't mind it as much. Her debut actually calls to mind Gotou Shintaro, who transformed into Birth in the W/OOO crossover but wouldn't officially become Birth until much later. Unlike Gotou though, Rinne didn't have anyone else trying to be Majade after that crossover debut.
She also had an annoying plotline of needing to "recharge" which put her out of commission, but that didn't occur as often as people (including myself) thought.
Aside from those, though? I have no qualms about how Rinne was written.

Ah thanks for your take on the rinne one. I was kinda bumped out when I saw that people actually hate gotchard cuz the first time I’ve heard of it was through the opening theme song which sucks cuz CHEMYXSTORY is a banger and that made me think gotchard would be a good series too. That said while I was shocked and pleasantly surprised about there being a female secondary, I have one issue with it. Like when spanner was introduced, according to the wiki he transforms into the warrior valvarad but then later into kamen rider valvarad which makes no sense because why not become kamen rider valvarad in the first place who would have then been a secondary. It’s ridiculous if you ask me, it’s also kinda the same issue with nox and the other lords in zeztz too. In your opinion what makes people dislike the show in general and if you were a writer for gotchard what are some of the things you would change to make the show more likeable or to give some characters justice by giving them character development. That said I will try to watch the show when I have time
In-universe, the system Kamen Warrior Valvarad uses was created before it was known that the Gotchardriver was possible. It's a lot weaker not only because it can't fuse two Chemmies together the way the Gotchardriver and later the Alchemisdriver (used by Rinne) can, but also because it can only be used with one specific Chemmy, MadWheel. It can only transmute additional Chemmies as attachments rather than a new form.
It's why Spanner gets outclassed so quickly by Houtaro and Rinne, and why later Spanner switches to a Driver that is actually based on Houtaro's gear (which is when he becomes a proper Rider).
You can think of it as Sokichi using the Lost Driver as Skull, or Shoutaro as Joker. It's strong enough to fight mooks, but it's way weaker than if he'd used the W Driver and two memories, and it'd be easily countered by a stronger opponent.
As for why they went through the whole Kamen Warrior phase... well I think that mostly has to do with the fact they wanted Rinne to be the secondary and they didn't want any doubts as to that. So Rinne had to officially debut as a Rider before Spanner.

But honestly I'm not surprised they tried getting ahold of someone from W again, since Fuuto PI's premiere is imminent (it's actually premiering the same week as the special, on August 01!!). And Ryu already came back, so his wife is the ideal candidate haha
Now I can't help but imagine an after-credits scene where Akiko comes home to Fuuto and Akiko talks about Sakura and Ryu talks about Ikki... then they simultaneously have the realization that these two are siblings asdfghjkl

There isn't a bakery for miles and miles, let alone one that makes Japanese-style strawberry shortcake." He pointed at the fanciful kana written with icing. "And I'd recognize that handwriting anywhere."
The Rider blinked at the words, before it sank in and the idea clicked in his head. "...Oh," Eiji replied. "I didn't know Kougami-san was keeping tabs on us, if that's what you're saying."
"You mean stalking us." Ankh corrected grouchily.
"I guess..." Eiji supposed. "Well... it may not be your birthday, but it is special day anyway, so maybe that's why he sent it?" he suggested.
"Wait, what? What do you mean?" Ankh asked, frowning.
"I- You forgot?" Eiji asked, sounding disappointed. Ankh blinked at him, bewildered, and he coughed awkwardly. "I mean... it's probably not that important to you, but..."
"But it is important to you, so spill." Ankh stated.
"Well..." Eiji avoided Ankh's intense gaze, blushing slightly. "Well... it's anniversary of the day you came back..."
Ankh blinked at him. "Huh. I guess I didn't realize," he admitted. He looked back at the cake on their dining table. "I guess it is my birthday after all." He gave a rare, soft and sincere smile.
Eiji beamed at Ankh. "Happy birthday then, Ankh." He wrapped his arms around him and kissed his cheek. "I'm glad that you were reborn on this day."
Ankh huffed out a laugh. "You better have a better gift for me than that, then," he teased with a wicked grin, moving his arm around to Eiji's behind.
Eiji's face burned brighter and he yelped as Ankh gave him a little squeeze. "ANKH!"
