i just feel like idk how to write compelling romance in transformative fiction that expands on canon with a purpose like you can have a mental checklist and have each moment line up with one in the series (sources) and put the puppets in their places and try to pick the word that hammers the crazy home but it has to cohere. it has to be a beautiful house. and idt it's a beautiful house. the answer is getting more rigorous with it reading books on craft and just writing a LOT more writing near constantly bc i see the effort other ppl put into their writing and i just...cba to edit in that way. but if you establish the basics w yourself real well the odds of applying them right over several thousands of words increase astronomically right
