Now I know the saying about “opposites attract” and while I do agree with that, I’d like to say that I also think that likes attract too. These two however, occur in different concepts or occasions. 

When I say likes attract, I mean to say that as you live your life, you come across people. There are certain people whom you don’t even know much about at the beginning, (they could be an acquaintance through work or school), but then you feel like wanting to hang out with them even without knowing much about them. 

Then you also come across those who you may know very deeply, and you try to run away from them. It at least has happened to me. I like people with class, self-respect and dignity. This is why sometimes I may run away from certain people who lack the aforementioned. So in that sense, likes attract. It’s only natural to say that you want the company of good and decent people and if you’re corrupt, well then you’d naturally be attracted towards that kind. Or that if you end up with the company of someone who is the complete opposite to your core values, then you would be repelled by them.
