It’s that time of the year again and I’m sure havaianaticos all over Cagayan de Oro (and nearby cities) were excited for this annual event of Havaianas made possible by Spruce- Make Your Own Havaianas (MYOH) 2014!
Some of you might wonder, what is MYOH? Well, this event gives the customers the fun opportunity to express their personal styles by customizing their flip-flops with an assortment of mix-and-match straps and soles as well as special pins to adorn.
This year’s MYOH comes with a special twist, which makes the event more interesting. The theme “Creative Direction: Streets of Brazil” gives us a quick sneak peek to Brazil’s vibrant, dynamic, and rich culture which gives essence to the Havaianas lifestyle.
How do I know all of these? Basically it’s because I was one of the MYOH kids this year who helped the customers assemble their flip-flops! T’was actually my second year to take part of this event. :)
During the first day of the event, I was able to spot some few friends and other familiar faces and I was happy to assist them at the assembly area.Â
The pins were oh so awesome, btw! I’m a proud Kagay-anon so I chose to style my pair with the limited edition pin and monkey pins to match the banana-yellow-colored-strap. I like to call my pair, the “Funky Monkey” haha!
To wrap it up, MYOH 2014 is definitely a must-go event! There are so many colors of the soles and straps and a variety of pins to choose from! Plus, the commemorative pair this year has an amazing design and it has something special in stored for you. *wink*
