So pretty!! Which books did you buy? And what is the happy days challenge exactly?
Iâm glad you asked! :) Â I bought 6 books that day and 8 in total (and I was given another one and I had to carry all 9 of them in a canvas bag for the whole trip back home, which was lots of fun especially since the airport security decided to go through every single one of my items, Iâm not kidding, every single book and notebook and folder and case), so if youâll excuse me Iâm going to make a list of the ones I bought:
How Watson learned the trick, Arthur Conan Doyle
Winged words: Victorian womenâs poetry and verse, compiled by Catherine Reilly
London: the biography, Peter Ackroyd
The invention of murder: how the Victorians revelled in death and detection and created modern crime, Judith Flanders
The Victorian city: everyday life in Dickensâ London, Judith Flanders
London in poetry and prose, edited by Anna Adams
The English seaside in Victorian and Edwardian times, John Hannavy (bought in Brighton!)
Collected folk tales, Alan Garner (bought in Stonehenge!)
...I donât know if you can see a pattern.
As for the 100happydays challenge, you can find more information on the website, but briefly: the challenge consists in choosing a media platform (instagram, tumblr, facebook, or simply the websiteâs email account) and submitting one picture each day of something that made you happy that day, and continuing for 100 days in a row. I found out about the challenge in hipsterjennyâs tumblr, and so far 3 other friends of mine have also taken it up. (I did mine on my instagram, nudge nudge wink.) I encourage everyone to consider it, âcause it did have some positive effects on me and it was pretty fun some times (also challenging and all the other things Iâve already said.)  :)
