Can you explain to me this chairs + bench thing? Like, Iām sure it will look awesome in your house, but I donāt get the phenomenon in general.

Impulse is a slight stretch. We knew we needed a new one but had no plans to even look for one today. BUT THEN WE BOUGHT IT.Ā
Okay, I donāt know why other people like them but hereās my short list.Ā
1. They tend to be more padded than chairs, for the ones that have padding anyway.
2. For folks that are bigger or gots the booty, the bench is probably more comfortable than a chair. And if you have kids, you can probably cram 3 or 4 of the little rascals on there.Ā
3. My house is open living room/kitchen thing so the back of the couch is very near the table. It looks kind of congested with chair backs being so close to the couch. The bench can be pushed under the table when not in use and at least make it look less crowded.Ā
4. I like variety! Today Iāll sit on a bench! Tomorrow Iāll sit on a chair!
Mr. Mac thinks it will make a more convenient foot rest than just another chair on the other side of the table.Ā

When we first moved into our house, there were cops ALL UP IN OUR HOOD but they're really decreased their presence in the last year or two. This is the first time we've been stopped by one though so maybe they really are that bored?Ā

I was IDed once... but I didn't have my ID on me. Back up was called, a cop stood by my door, and they took my DOB & SSN to confirm my ID. Ridiculous.
That is some serious bullshit. I never know if I can say no to a request like that either.Ā
