My chunk man. He can count just by pointing to the numbers! He usually has to have someone speak first so he can attempt to repeat, but hes been doing really well on certain things that don't require a constant speak/repeat scenario. This is progress. Also, yes he is wrapped on my back. And yeah... we won't discuss his behavior 😅 let's just say all his OT goals were classroom based. In the past 2 months, hes stopped weekly cotreat, started school, got sick, after 2 weeks in school it closed, then all therapy's are cancelled. So we are here. This is one of those things that happened unintentionally and I am so in love with it. I took 2 pictures. The shadows were perfect, I got 2 just incase there was movement in one. We were walking into therapy, nothing out of the ordinary. Until I went to look at the pictures days later... and I discovered he was looking up at me and you can see it in the shadow. My mini me right here. He is so much like me sometimes I worry.. but I then remind myself that's where I can succeed best by leading and teaching the right tools to use in life. He is a mamas boy, 100%. My hugest cuddle bug and affection seeker/giver. So much like me 🤣 This boys progress is so beyond astonishing. It came on so fast and it's just flourishing continously. Odyn, soon to be 2.5yrs. This is my low functioning autistic babe. He is definitely by far the more difficult child and most can see that. He just has a lot of issues he struggles with. It's not his fault. 😔 but doesn't make it any easier to deal with. He is the one who probably gets the most stares and comments. Hes vocal and loud. He makes big movements. Nothing he does is ever small... the last couple months his progress has flourished. SO many people who know him have seen progress in him.. I know he has come so far.. hes mocking sounds and attempting words! It's hard to hear the comments sometimes.. and it makes me question if I'm doing enough for him.. A few weeks ago, my daughters speech (who happens to be the director) told me that she had talked to my sons speech therapist.. she went on to praise me and comment on how much I do for them, and practice at home, that I'm vocal in things that don't work (so they dont waste time pushing it), the progress is really a weekly thing and with most others it's not that fast of progress BECAUSE of working with them so diligently.
